A couple of years back I ignored foot pain during a long weekend event. Started as a bit of soreness, then turned into sharp pain near my big toe joint. I kept going (bad idea), and it got worse over time.

After I got back, I had to actually look into treatment options and even came across stuff related to foot surgery in Perth during my research. Didn’t end up needing surgery thankfully, but it was a bit of a wake-up call.

Since then I’ve been way more careful:

No brand new shoes at festivals

Avoid super flat soles for long days

Actually listening to pain instead of pushing through it

Taking breaks instead of standing non-stop

I think a lot of us underestimate how much damage long days on hard ground can do. Curious if anyone here has had something similar or just powered through it?
