Mmmm está bien el "University", aunque los 4 primeros temas me parecen bastante malos, me recuerdan demasiado a Hole, mal camino.
Eso sí, "Snakeface" ya tiene un sitio entre las favoritas. -

propongo que se abra el hilo de Throwing Muses ya que estais desvirtuando un poco el hilo ATP (BTW, ya te vale, can-clenchis), no deja de ser una confirmación de uno de los muchos festivales ATP… Además, por lo que parece, en breve tal vez se pueda mover el hilo al subforo de Primavera Sound 2009 si los rumores se confirman (tocamos madera).
@Trinxo: me uno a la plataforma pro-Tomeu Penya, es crooner de Vilafranca de Bonany, máximo exponente del alt-country mallorquín.

TBCLo de los comediantes en los festivales es algo que me corta un poco el rollo.Si me apetece eso lo veo en la tele, no en un festival de musica.
Por otro lado, el cartel no es espectacular como el del '08.Al menos de momento.Etito, no habia leido …SUICIDE tocando el primer disco,diosss que grandeza.

Hombre, aun no se sabe si quiera quien sera el grupo "curator" y no han avanzado mas de 5 nombres….no hagamos sangre y/o alabanzas con tan pocos mimbres.

Los curators serán los pavimentos no? Vamos, tocaría. Primero al fans o breeders, luego aquí, festivales de verano y rematar en el ATP ny.

Si los pavimentos no han sido curators del 2009 en minehead es mas que improbable que hasta el 2010 no los veamos en directo…

ya están los horarios del NBC. Hay solapes dolorosos como en todo festival que se precie y dentro de los horarios, lo más sorprendente es Bernard Parmegiani cerrando el festival a las 3 de la madrugada, pa flipar con el abuelo.
Por cierto, este año no usan el escenario grande (el pavilion) así que las propuestas serán bastante más intimas (si se puede llamar íntimo a un concierto de Melvins o Isis…).
Habrá muchas bandas que harán doblete (Melvins, Fantomas, Mastodon, Butthole Surfers, Squarepusher) y parece que en esta edición vamos a poder repetir si se quiere y no habrá el rollo de las pulseras de colores como en otros años.
Agregan como último miembro del cartel a la formación de Melvins de 1983. Vamos, que los más agonías van a poder a King Buzzo CINCO veces en un fin de semana (2 con melvins, 2 con fantomas y una con melvins cosecha del 83).
Me da la sensación que no han hecho sold out como otros años y de aquí estas novedades (que por otro lado me parecen de puta madre).

In what has to rank as one of the most unlikely developments in rock, the awe-inspiring primal force of the Jesus Lizard will return, briefly, in 2009. The original lineup of David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly will reform for a very limited series of live dates in 2009, starting with the All Tomorrow’s Parties event dubbed The Fans Strike Back in Minehead, UK on May 9 and 10 and ending with a final appearance in Chicago in late November. These shows will be the Jesus Lizard’s first since disbanding in 1999 and the first in twelve years to feature the original storied quartet. As anyone who has experienced the Jesus Lizard live can attest, they are one of the most intense and visceral musical assemblies to ever stalk a stage. This fleeting reunion offers an incredible opportunity to either be blown away all over again or to immerse yourself in the sweaty power and driving mayhem for the very first time.
In celebration of this event, Touch and Go Records will reissue four full-length releases from the Jesus Lizard in May 2009. Remastered recordings of Head, Goat, Liar, and Down will be available on both LP and CD, all with expanded packaging and liner notes. Bob Weston is heading up the remastering process with Steve Albini, the original session engineer, sitting in.
Taking place from the 8th – 10th May at Butlins Holiday Resort, Minehead, England, Fans Strike Back will see half of the festival line-up chosen by ATP and the other half voted for by everyone that buys a ticket. Voting has now started! Also added to the line-up today are The Cave Singers.
