brothersport mejor canción de lo que llevamos de siglo ya!

Pues después de 2 escuchas, he de decir que el disco es bueno, muy bueno y que Brothersport es la peor canción del disco con diferencia, si parece una comparsa carnavalera, que ni el Guincho!!! Para mi cualquier otra del disco le da mil vueltas, jajaja… Trinxo me acabo de desenamorar, que lo sepas.

Temazos, Summertime Clothes, My Girls, Guys Eyes e In the Flowers.

Yo estoy completamente atrapada en my girls… brothersport por la mitad me da un poco de ansiedad, pero vaya, que el disco me encanta. Totalmente!

Otra filtración interesante del 2009 de la que no sabía nada, por lo menos a mi me parece que es un grupo acojonante.

The double-CD, triple-LP epic called RTZ (named after the button on a Tascam 484 that “returns to zero”) fashions several lesser-known pieces from Six Organs of Admittance’s early years into an massive prismatic arc, colossal and organic like some wonder of the ancient world. How could it be otherwise? Even when existing as only one half of a record, as many of these pieces once did (and still do, somewhere), Mr. 6OOA (Ben Chasny, y’all!) leans into the eternal — letting the winds of Time scar his face and the light of All There Is burn his skin black. Grandmaster Chas has sacrificed the body for his music time and again over the years. RTZ is an iridescent chimera in full flight, viewed through stained glass.

Cataloging these early non-album excursions requires a bit of leg-(and mind) work. RTZ travels back to the dawn of this century to locate “Resurrection,” half of a Time-Lag split 12” with Charalambides. “Warm Earth, Which I’ve Been Told” is half of a Mental Telemetry split CD with Vibracathedral Orchestra and Magic Carpithans from 2003. “You Can Always See the Sun,” was part of Three Loved Recordings’ Purposeful Availments subscription CD series in 2002. And Nightly Trembling was released way back in 1999 in an edition of 33 copies, all given away for free! That’s some spiritual shit right there. Combined with a never-before released extended piece called “Punish the Chasm with Wings” from pre-millennial days and you’ve got yourself a deep, DEEP box set, crammed into a multi-faceted LP jacket.

una de post-rock italiano orientado al metal. menos heavys que pelican pero más que los explosions in the sky, por mucho que ellos prefieran hablar de godflesh y neurosis. esto es un ep previo a la publicación de un split con nadja y un nuevo disco (tercero). las dos cosas para la primavera. los post-rockeros deberían darle una escucha por lo menos.

el de six organs es un recopilatorio de re-ediciones de Ep's muy viejos, ediciones limitadas, rarities… difíciles de encontrar que digamos.

Ayer después de varios días sin interné, me pasó lo que a muchos. Entré aquí y vi que el disco que llevábamos meses esperando se había filtrado. Después de varios enlaces petados (gracias Trinxo por el tuyo) y peripecias diversas, logré meterlo en ipod, y después de 5 escuchas tan solo puedo decir que lo han vuelto a hacer.Discazo de la vida. Sin más. Lo que me daba miedo cuando filtraron el setlist del disco es que no incluían un gran número de temazos que venían tocando desde hacía más de un año,tan solo Brothersport. Siplemente les habían cambiado los nombres para despistar .Así Dancer es ahora In the flowers, House es My Girls, Bearhug es Summertime Clothes o Am I real es Taste.

Siendo un poco egosita diré que es muy probable que este disco, como era de preveer al ser con diferencia mucho más pop y accesible que los anteriores, muy probablemente les catapultará un nivel de fama que aún no habían alcanzado hasta ahora y que tampoco les desaba la verdad…

Si no me equivoco, este sigue siendo un rip del vinilo. Alguien con oidos más finos en Bolachas pone lo siguiente:

"There is NO HIGHER QUALITY VERSION STILL. any posts here, v0, 160, 320 ARE ALL TRANSCODES (which means the quality still gets lower). As soon as there is available a higher quality version it will be posted."

Creo que tiene razón, Si ponen atención se sigue escuchando jis. Y el itunes tiene problemas con el "part of a gapless album".

No estoy siendo ingrato, creanme, si escuché este rip unas 20 veces el fin de semana fueron pocas. Simplemente señalaba…

2009 will see three LP releases for Crippled Black Phoenix. The Resurrectionists and Night Raider will be only be available as imports (much like their 2006 release, A Love Of Shared Disasters) by Invada Records (a label owned by Portishead's Geoff Barrow). In the US, Cargo Records is releasing 200 Tons Of Bad Luck, "a single album version comprising of a collection of songs from both [previously named new] albums". That will drop in "March-ish" of 2009.

CBP was originally conceived as a project between Dominic Aitchison (Mogwai) and Justin Greaves, who has done time in many great heavy bands including Electric Wizard, Iron Monkey, and Teeth Of Lions Rule The Divine (with sunn o))) members Stephen O'Malley & Greg Anderson and current Cathedral frontman Lee Dorrian). The band has taken many shapes and colors since inception, but currently count Joe Volk (Gonga), Kostas Panagiotou and Charlotte Nicholls as the other members.

Don't let that pedigree fool you though, the band definitely leans alot more in the Godspeed You Black Emperor! direction, as you may be able to tell from "Rise Up And Fight" (downloadable above). Check it out, and look out for news of a US Tour as soon as we have full details.
