Cierto Jarguz, por lo que he entendido al principio llamaban a los 4 primeros y ahora llevan dos listas llamando al 1, 2, 25, 50, 75 y 100. Así que también se lo cuece un poco la organización.

Hombre, tiene su lógica. Un festival de unos 40 grupos no se fabrica con 20 pseudo cabezas de cartel. La gente vota mucho a los grupos grandes y si sólo contrataran a los de arriba se fundirían el presupuesto y les faltarían la mitad de grupos. No me parece mal que cojan posiciones menos votadas. Lo que me cuesta más de creer es que haya tanto fan de neurosis suelto y además todos con entrada del atp y votando.

Tienes razón, visto así me parece lógico, lo que no me quedaba claro era si siempre hacen la elección así y en este orden. Me explico: si al principio coges los 4 primeros de las listas y después 1, 2, 25, 50, 75, 100 o el tipo de elección lo van cambiando según les pica y según la lista (ahora de esta cojo otra vez los 4 y de la siguiente el 3, 12, 42 y 3892). Por lo demás, me parece razonable que elijan grupos menos votados.

Lo de pq hay grupos tan arriba ni idea, nunca se sabe…

Las posiciones elegidas son siempre las mismas? según el mensaje que dice que esta semana se repetirán posiciones, se supone que no y que las posiciones son elegidas por ellos. Supongo, por eso, que las dos primeras siempre son fijas y han de intentar llamarlos, no? si no, me parecería que los fans en realidad tienen poco que ver en las elecciones.

Cuando compras la entrada te mandan un mail para que votes a los grupos que te de la gana (este año la condición era no repetir grupos que han pasado ya por el atp), con los mas votados se hace la lista y se va llamando a los primeros. Como bien ha apuntado wolfcatala, la organización también llama a los que esten en los puestos 25, 50, 75 y 100 porque si no sería imposible. Eso sí, los grupos van colocados por orden de votos (si luego ellos lo cambian…...)

Sí, me parece normal que cojan también los de abajo, porque han de haber grupos grandes y pequeños. El tema era, como comenta Chucho, saber si siempre cogían 25, 50, 75 y 100 o on otra tanda era 15, 43, 67 y 92, por ejemplo, según les conveniese más a ellos.

Edito: imaginaba que siempre harían 25, 50 75 y 100, pero no lo tenía muy seguro.

All Tomorrow’s Parties would like to announce that for ATP weekend 1 in May 2009 The Fans get a chance to prove themselves once more by curating half the line-up in, “The Fans Strike Back”. The event, which will take place from the 8th – 10th May at Butlins Holiday Resort will see half of the festival line-up chosen by ATP and the other half voted for by everyone that buys a ticket. To make things more interesting, we’ve also decided that at least for the first round of voting, which opens on Monday November 17th, no bands can be picked that have ever played a UK ATP event before!

Okay folks here's the latest for you. Many of you will be very pleased to know that the mighty KILLING JOKE have confirmed to play your side of the bill!

Their reunion shows last year were tremendous and we're very excited to have them.

Two more confirmations from your side of the line-up come in the shape of:

SCHOOL OF SEVEN BELLS

Unfortunately of course we have to tell you that some of the bands approached recently won't be playing. Wolf Parade won't be; they'll be back in the UK in 2010. Sadly Neurosis wanted to play but there are scheduling difficulties so they'll be unable to. M. Ward also has scheduling problems. Pavement won't be playing as they're not a band right now, and Neutral Milk Hotel also won't be performing.

However we still have offers out to Jesu, Harvey Milk, Wolves In The Throne Room, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, Lords and Eels at various stages of development. More news on those when we have it.

New additions for today week are the original reformed line-up of early 90s indie rockers TH’ FAITH HEALERS, Howe Gelb’s stunning country rock group GIANT SAND, a collaboration between acclaimed Stones Throw hip-hop artists MADLIB & J. ROCC, as well as Mexico’s JUAN SON and Ohio’s HEARTLESS BASTARDS. This event’s poster artist TARA MCPHERSON will put on an exhibition of her work at the festival and produce this festival's Dolbee toy for ATP's Clownshoes company.
