Manic Street Preachers - Journal For Plague Lovers
'Journal for plague lovers' de Manic Street Preachers es un álbum en el que el grupo
rinde tributo a su antiguo compañero Richard James Edwards.
Es su noveno disco de estudio y está producido por Steve Albini y grabado en directo
en Rockfield Studios de Gales durante el invierno de 2008.
Las 13 canciones del álbum contienen las letras escritas por Edwards, que
desapareció misteriosamente el 1 de febrero de 1995 y fue dado por presuntamente
fallecido en noviembre de 2008. Las letras han pasado un pequeño proceso de
edición, ya que en principio estaban escritas en prosa.

Tom Brosseau - Posthumous Success
‘Posthumous Success,’ Tom Brosseau's first new album of studio material in two
years and his third FatCat full length release, is conceptual, modern, playful,
sometimes fun, dark, revealing. The album could be a set of stories or books on one’s
shelf: the opening and closing tracks, Favourite Colour Blue – the same song - not
the device of reprise, rather equal opposites or bookends.
For this record, however, Adam Pierce produced half the tracks on ‘Posthumous
Success’ in upstate NY, alongside Ethan Rose’s work on the other half of the record in
Portland, Oregon. Two producers, two sets of guest musicians, recorded on separate
US coasts, the album’s effect is a collection of different styles, different
instrumentation, different intricacies in different places, but always held together by
Tom’s captivating, vibrato-soaked voice, his ability to let single notes gently resonate
with a near-unearthly emotional grasp and his evident, laudable reluctance

pues aquí os dejo lo que viene siendo un doble recopilata que the ex han sacado para conmemorar sus 30 años de carrera (1979-2008). está muy bien para hacerse una idea de como han evolucionado como grupo durante todos estos años ya que incluye canciones de casi todos sus discos. me hice con él en el último concierto que dieron en el apolo por el módico precio de 10 ecus. así da gusto!
el libreto incluye cifras increíbles sobre sus 30 años de carretera:
517 dutch concerts + 854 concerts abroad = 1371 total concerts
