Buffff, un yo la tengo en sala sin acústicos, tocando hitazos y presentando el nuevo (que tiene pintaza) puede ser enorme, lo mismo con Sonic Youth

A parte de que no lo veo por capacidad de salas, tampoco me cuadra mucho con la filosofía que se le presupone al Primavera Club. Es decir, bandas nuevas o pequeñas, otras que no han venido nunca, con algún cabeza de cartel más modesto (unos Feelies, unos Superchunk, unos Orange Juice, un Callahan o un Oldham…). Y las que repiten del anterior Primavera Sound acostumbran a ser las que han tenido un horario con malas coincidencias, o las revelaciones del festival, no dos bandas como SY o YLT que vienen cada 2 y 3 años respectivamente.
Todo este desde por alguien que cree que Yo la Tengo y Sonic Youth deberían tocar 5 veces al año en Barcelona, pero igual no todas dentro del Primevera.

de todas formas una década ya me parece un periodo de cuarentena excesivo.

En la Fnac por 19 leuris tienen el eternal en doble disco de 180 gramos que es una preciosidad. Yo apuesto tambien por los Sonic Youth en una sala como siempre, la ultima vez en Madrid fue en La Riviera.

Sonic Youth en sala en España es algo de justicia histórica (y poética) aunque sea en el marco de un festival.
Yo en sala los vi en la Riviera un par de veces (1996 y 99)y otra en la desparecida sala Agualung (1993?).Creo que su primera visita fue en el 88/89, pero por aquel entonces era un yogurin.Luego los he visto en salas por aqui otras 3 o 4 veces, y de festivales mejor no hablamos.

ATP Travels across the Atlantic back to NYC in September. The final additions to the lineup are:
On Friday 11th, David Cross has picked Eugene Mirman, Jon Benjamin & Jon Glaser - 'The Fuggedabuddies' and Derrick Brown and the Navy Gravy for the comedy stage.
On Sunday 13th, The Flaming Lips have picked Black Moth Super Rainbow, Birds Of Avalon, Menomena and Hopewell. We are also incredibly excited to confirm that for their set performing the songs of Husker Du, No Age will be joined by none other than Bob Mould.
We are also happy to announce that Ian Svenonius will bring his Soft Focus show to Kutshers for live interview sessions with Suicide, Melvins and more TBC!

We have some great new additions today to the Ten Years Of ATP Festival which we are very excited to tell you about. First up are legendary ATP Recordings artists The Magic Band. As if that wasn't enough, also added to the bill are more ATP Favourites: Lightning Bolt, múm, OM, Edan, Porn and Tall Firs!
We can also confirm that Sunn O))) will be performing twice - one show of the GrimmRobe Demos - and another performing new work from the acclaimed Monoliths & Dimensions LP.

hacen dos bolos, el don't look back del primer LP (como en el PS) y el segundo centrándose en su último LP. ¿Qué hay de raro? Lo raro sería que cambiaran las capas por camisas hawainas.

The Ocropolis is Oneida's multidisciplinary studio/performance space in the basement of Monster Island located in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
Built by Oneida and their friends in 2005, this studio has quickly become a legendary source of recordings by Black Dice, Growing, Sightings, Trans Am, Psychic Ills and of course Oneida - it has also played host some intimate Oneida performances over the past year.For this special one of a kind all-day event, Oneida is transporting the impetus, spirit and community of the Ocropolis to the Flaming Lips curated All Tomorrows Parties <http> - for a full day of improvisation, collaboration, and recording which the festival attendees can witness first hand. Combined with the astounding Mighty Robot Visuals light crew and a scheduled series of ATP performer guests Oneida aspires to create a full day of collaboration in order to recreate the band's approach to recording and performing usually restricted to the smallest audiences.
The actual recording process and apparatus will be transparent and the focus of the piece will be on the EVENT, the audio/visual collision and fruits of collaboration. This will not be a recording session per se - simply a documented concentration of the experience of Oneida's Ocropolis.Oneida will perform at a small space on the festival grounds. Oneida will perform continuously throughout the day, sometimes with guests from the rich array of musicians also performing in the festival, sometimes alone and mostly improvised. The door will always be open to the ATP festival goers to experience the Ocropolis.
The performances will be recorded on the fly with a multi-track mobile recording unit by Gang Gang Dance producer and engineer Sean Maffucci. Oneida will then mix, edit and compile the best moments of the day for release as soon as possible. The resultant album will then be made available as an adjunct part of the Thank Your Parents series of releases on a limited basis.
Oneida heartily extends an invitation to all musicians involved with the festival to perform with us at this ongoing experimental audio/visual event.
