me esperaba un poco más, no tanto como el homónimo y "think" pero sí una sensación mejor que la que dejaron en su directo del pc2008 recriminando la actitud poco demoledora del público (el concierto de barcelona, el de madrid no sé como fue)

Zack los francesitos estos están de puta madre. Te recomiendo que busques a otros que se llaman "The Pistil Cosmos". Son menos tribales, pero transmiten muy buenas sensaciones.

'Like a Neuron' is a new LP from legendary underground lad Richard Youngs and when we put it on this morning it slapped our faces with surprise. Maybe the gnarly sleeve should have served as a warning.. All the stuff I've heard under his own name is ace and weird folky stuff but this one's chock full of amazing rhythmically instrumental psychedelic noise-type jams like someone's crossed Astral Social Club with Black Dice and made it all soothing and relaxing like. There might even be a little glimmer of Lindstrom-like cosmic disco in there too, highly abstracted and with the beats obscured to the point where they're almost more of a subtly rising and falling ambient wash than anything. I know he does all sorts of stuff and it's certainly not unprecedented for him to be involved in more overtly experimental forms what with his A Band involvement and everything but it's a refreshing change of sound from what I know of his more recent catalogue and a totally excellent record that falls far more in the 'fun experimental' camp than the 'beardy experimental' one!

El de Balmorhea me gusta más el original, pero merece la pena darle un escucha al de remixes. Es un nuevo enfoque de algunos temas que quedan bastante bien. Evidentemente no es el típico disco de remixes, así que escúchalo y ya contarás.

Their latest album, Apple’s Acre sucks you in at the beginning with the bare bones of the ivories on “Technicolor”, pairing them with a jiving beat and clear vocals, but after this you morph into Harvey Dent: put the mob behind bars or stop the Joker.
It’s the vocals that really confuse me. They sound like a Beach Boys clone that secretly want to be Gnarls Barkley set against pretty, shoegaze melodies. There are notes that are quick, harsh and seemingly unnecessary (like a balloon popping – see “Man at Arms”). Gritty vocals can be great (like with the Rural Alberta Advantage, Smashing Pumpkins, et.al.) and voices that are nasally, strained and cracking can pair really well with, well, pretty much anything, but there has to be some sort of “leveling out”. This is a nonstop biplane show, zipping and buzzing its way through “Skip to my Lou”, echo-filled tunes.
It’s hard to take it in one sitting. Soften up the voice a tad, stop trying to be Bon Iver, and we’re saving Gotham, people and, maybe delivering a more palatable record in the process.

Harry Patch (In Memory Of) is a standalone release in tribute to Harry Patch, the last surviving UK veteran of World War 1, who died on 25 July 2009 at the age of 111. The song was released as a download direct from Radiohead’s website on Wednesday August 5th, 2009.
The release was announced by Thom Yorke through a blog post:
“Recently the last remaining UK veteran of the 1st world war Harry Patch died at the age of 111.
I had heard a very emotional interview with him a few years ago on the Today program on Radio4.
The way he talked about war had a profound effect on me.
It became the inspiration for a song that we happened to record a few weeks before his death.
It was done live in an abbey. The strings were arranged by Jonny.
I very much hope the song does justice to his memory as the last survivor.” -

bah, "United States of Eurasia" me parece muy bajona, mientras que "Uprising" me suena a la clásica canción que vienen haciendo desde sus inicios, nada nuevo.
Bueno, supongo que es cuestión de gustos.Me faltaba detallar un poco más sobre el I Love You de Amanda Blank, destaca la participación de Lykke Li, Santigold y Spank Rock. Si tienen necesidad de saber en que género clasificarlo, sería electropop y hip hop…

Pos claro que era irónico, zorriputi. No hace falta ser un mentelúcida para adivinar que tras esas palabras sólo puede haber alguien con ganas de cachondeo, y más en este foro.
Bueno, que me enredo… yo venía a decir básiamente que el nuevo de Emeralds es la puta hostia en bicicleta (ahora sí que he quedao del to bien), y que los traiga Gabi para el festi mayor. No sé quien lo colgó, pero gracias. Muy flipante.
