Quizás sea el cartel de ATP que más me interesa de los hechos hasta ahora. Exceptuando algunos nombres, la mayoría me resultan muy excitantes, caso de Dead C, Watt o Bardo Pond. Lástima que sea tan jodidamente caro. Crucemos los dedos, a ver si nos pueden traer a casa alguno…

yo pude ver a mike watt en directo hace mil años en magic y fue acojonante y eso que no tocó ni una canción de minutemen ni fIREHOSE. el cartel de este ATP es bastante curioso, pero para migusto puede llegar a ser una chapa descomunal. pongamos que ves a black dice, the dead c, growing y a daniel higgs seguidos. acabas como el indio de "alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco", seguro.

Pues me han chivado que en el ATP Cinema programarán la antología completa de Angelopoulos. No hay salida. Nos van a convalidar el 90% de los créditos de cualquier carrera humanística, titus.

Today we are happy to announce a new batch of artists for the third ATP New York festival over Labor Day weekend, running from Friday 3rd September – Sunday 5th September at Kutsher's Country Club, Monticello, and we can also confirm that Sunday day tickets are now on sale.
As previously announced, Friday 3rd September features these performances as part of our Don't Look Back day:
IGGY & THE STOOGES performing Raw Power / SLEEP performing Holy Mountain / MUDHONEY performing Superfuzz Bigmuff + Early Singles / THE SCIENTISTS performing Blood Red River (first ever U.S. Show) + more to be confirmed!
Friday will also feature a Comedy Stage, details of which are to be announced soon.
ATP celebrate 10 years with a birthday party on Saturday 4th September hosting a day of past ATP curators, ATP Recordings artists and friends. To complete the line-up for this day our new additions are headed up by HALLOGALLO, a very special new project headed by Michael Rother and featuring Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth), Aaron Mullan (Tall Firs) and Ben Curtis (Secret Machines, School of Seven Bells). Hallogallo will perform the music of Rother's 1970s Krautrock legends Neu! - their recent debut show in Barcelona was rapturously received. Also confirmed are cult heros SHELLAC who appear as ATP's House Band, FURSAXA, SIAN ALICE GROUP and TEXT OF LIGHT (featuring Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo). Steve Albini of Shellac is also confirmed to host his Card Games Room over the weekend. Here's that day's full line-up…

Jim Jarmusch will curate Sunday 5th September and a new addition to his previously announced choices comes in the shape of garage rock band THE GREENHORNES. Unfortunately the previously announced Brian Jonestown Massacre have had to cancel their appearance. Here's how the day is looking so far with more to be announced...

All three days will also feature DJs and Cinema presented by Criterion. This year the bars, food vendors and Djs will continue until 6pm on Monday 6th September so that all guests can enjoy a more relaxing start to their post-ATP week.
Festival Tickets are priced at $250 + booking fee for the weekend. Friday day tickets are priced at $110 + booking fee. Saturday and Sunday day tickets are priced at $120 + booking fee. Weekend Bus travel is available between Brooklyn or Manhattan and the festival. Day Bus travel is available between Manhattan and the festival.
Accommodation at Kutshers is now sold out. Limited rooms for groups 4 are available at the nearby Raleigh hotel (we operate a free shuttle bus between the hotel and festival site all weekend). Rooms are priced at $150 + room tax per person, full information available at our website.
Weekend and Day Tickets, Accommodation and Bus Travel from Manhattan and Brooklyn are available now via www.atpfestival.com Tickets are also available now in person from Other Music in New York City and Aquarius Records in San Francisco.

Autobus desde ese donde hasta Minehead.
La carretera a Minehead no la hago yo en coche con volante a la derecha ni de coña.

Es bastante estrecha y serpenteante. Pasas entre campos y fincas típicas estilo cottage inglés y la verdad es que hay muchos momentos en los que los coches pasan bastante cerca unos de otros. De todos modos otros años, con amigos que también alquilaron coche desde Londres o Bristol, dicen que se acostumbran al cabo de un rato de estar en la carretera. De todos modos, el autobús es bastante cómodo sobretodo si coges el vuelo hasta Bristol, ya que desde allí hasta el horrendo Butlins no creo que tengas más de 1h 20min aprox. Desde Londres creo que eran casi 4h si hay tráfico.

Nah, en serio, hicimos el camino en el bus que comentaba y de noche y aquello no me parecio lo mas aconsejable si tienes que conducir con una disposicion diferente a la acostumbrada...
Pero aqui ya, es cuestion de cada uno.

Charlemagne Palestine, si bien es un tipo la mar de interesante, vete a saber qué pollo monta en directo. Si tiene que tirarse hora y media alternando entre tres notas, pues puede ser un tanto incómodo; si recrea algo más similar a "The Apocalypse Will Blossom", podría ser toda una experiencia hipnótica.
Flower con Corsano tiene pinta de ser un concierto brutalillo.
