head new additions for ATP curated by Animal Collective
13th-15th May 2011 at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead
**We're very excited to be able to announce some new additions to the only ATP festival weekend of May 2011 which is being curated by Animal Collective.
2 & 3 Berth Room Only apartments were sold out, but we have been able to release a small extra amount today that had been held back for festival production use.
The second set of announcements chosen by Animal Collective for the line-up features Big Boi of Outkast whose recent solo LP received widespread acclaim, minimalist pioneer Terry Riley and the long awaited return of cult indie rock group Thinking Fellers Union Local 282. Here's the full list of new additions:

Pregunta:
Como está el tema comida en Butlins? quiero decir, es necesario pillarse el apartamento con cocina o hay puestos de comida en condiciones para comer tres dias?

A ver, yo creo que no es imprescindible un apartamento con cocina. Lo que si es necesario es salir al pueblo a comer algún día y variar.
Ya te digo que cuando llegas muy bien, pero a la que llevas allí tres días y te has comido 2 pizzas, 4 hotdogs y 12 menus de fish & chips o burri kin ya no sabes que repetir porqué no te entra nada. Añadele a todo esto la resaca… -
lo que imaginaba, y para ir al Pueblo me imagino que hay algun bus y tal no?
Y la ultima pregunta, para llegar a Butlins tan facil como pillar un bus en el Aeropuerto de Bristol y ya está? -
Al pueblo puedes ir andando. Y para ir de Bristol airport a Butlins pues no es tan fácil, tienes que pillar un tren y un bus me parece.
De todos modos nosotros reservamos un taxi desde aquí (aunque algunos lo hicieron directamente en el aeropuerto), que se comentaba que más o menos valía lo mismo que el bus+tren y historias varias. Clar, el taxi es mucho más cómodo y además pactamos con el taxista la hora de vuelta para llevarnos otra vez directo al aeropuerto. -

A ver si alguien más puede confirmar que funciona así el asunto, a poca diferencia de precio desde luego es mucho mas comodo el Taxi. -
FUN, del aeropuesto bus a estacion central de Bristol. Alli tren hasta una estacion que ahora no recuerdo el nombre y alli, un bus del infierno a Butlins. De todas maneras si entras en la web del ATP, creo que viene la info típica de como llegar.
Por cierto, interesantes confirmaciones para el ATP de los animalitos…

me parece increíble. cabía la posibilidad remota, pero no daba
dos duros por ella. qué tremendo. probablemente la banda que
más ganas tenía de ver de vuelta a los escenarios junto a beat
happening, guided by voices y us maple, y una de mis favoritas
de toda la vida. y lo terrible es que no sé cómo voy a hacerlo si
quiero verlos. mi semana de vacaciones -bueno, de mi chica en
realidad; ya quisiera yo salir de estas dilatadas vacaciones- es
la última de mayo goddammit. -

BLOC is held at Butlins Holiday Resort, Minehead, Somerset, UK, TA24 5SH. Check the map above.
By far the easiest way to get there is on one of our luxury coaches. They’re cheaper than the train and super-reliable.
Alternatively, BLOC is 3 hours drive from London once you’re on the M4. It is an hour and a half from Bristol. From the M5, follow the signs for the A39 from junction 24. Butlins is just half a mile along the seafront road from Minehead town centre. It’s signposted from the M5, Bridgewater and Taunton.
The closest mainline station is Taunton, which is an hour and forty minutes from London Paddington. We will be operating regular shuttle buses from Taunton to BLOC that take 40 minutes.
The closest airport is Bristol, which is an hour and a half from the venue. The nearest airports after that are, in order: Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton.
Por lo que leo aqui, es lo que dices, bus hasta estacion Bristol, tren hasta Taunton y luego otro bus hasta Butlins Minehead, un poco coñazo todo no? lo que no entiendo, llamarme garrulo es lo de los Luxury coaches, es como un minibus o algo así? hay que reservar? si solo somos 3 sale a cuenta? ya me iré enterando, pero creo que si me decís que la opcion taxi es la buena , será la que tomaremos.
