_It is with deep sadness we regret to inform everyone that as of today Tuesday 12th August 2014, ATP is being forced into cancelling this weekend's Jabberwocky festival. Refunds will be available to all customers at the point of purchase.
We have put everything into promoting Jabberwocky, and despite healthy ticket sales; all our efforts could not take those sales to the point that we needed to finally stage the event. Over the past month and all the way up until this moment we have tried every possible course of action to follow through in delivering Jabberwocky to you, but the position we unfortunately find ourselves in as a result of a succession of events that have lost money in an increasingly aggressive festival market, means we are no longer able to do so.
In the past ATP has weathered losses such as this and gone on with the show, taking huge direct financial blows as an independent company. But on this occasion, with an event of this scale and the high production costs that come with it - if we had gone ahead; it would have 100% been the end of ATP. We do not take this decision lightly and it was the hardest we've ever had to make.
All other ATP Presents shows will go ahead as planned, including ATP Iceland with our local partners there in 2015.
We apologise to all the people we have let down from fans to the bands, the venue and all the suppliers. We have tried everything in our power to save this event and continue, but the losses we have recently incurred have unfortunately been too much for a company of our size to bear.

A tres dias cancelar. Y hay gente en FB que los defiende "lo miras de una forma negativa, a mi cuando me cancelaron un evento en Berlin me dio igual porque tenia unas maravillosas vacaciones en la ciudad…"

Update 2: promotion company The Zeitgeist Agency have issued a statement saying that the company behind ATP – Willwal Ltd – has not paid them “for several months”, and have revealed to them in writing that they used money that should have been going to Zeitgeist to instead secure venues and artists. This is all indicative of a massive cashflow problem (which would certainly explain the cancellation), and Zeitgeist have announced that they took legal action against Willwal on July 20, to no response. It also explains why rumors were flying around as early as a month ago that Jabberwocky would indeed be cancelled.
Y eso de que es por falta de ventas…

Totalmente de acuerdo con Pelukini. Te puede pasar una vez, dos, pero cuantas veces llevan ya? A mí me salen tres cancelaciones de festivales en los últimos tres años (Mangum, Tokio y ahora esto). A mí me jodieron con el del primero. Que se dediquen a otra cosa o que reduzcan las pretensiones del festival y monten eventos más pequeños y viables. Mis ánimos van con los asistentes afectados, que conozco a alguno que es la segunda vez que se la meten.

Pero es que este CASI HACE SOLD OUT. No sé de dónde viene el bulo de que es por falta de ventas.

Lo de que a 6 de agosto quedaran 200 abonos empecé a dudarlo dos días después cuando seguían avisando por las redes de que estaban a punto de agotarse y mucho más lo dudo ahora. Quizás fuera un intento desesperado de que los indecisos dejaran de darle vueltas. Ojo que estoy especulando. Que no se me lance nadie a la yugular.
Lo que dudo mucho es que el ATP se recupere de ésta. Aunque también lo dudaba la última vez que les pasó algo parecido. -
De quien me voy a lanzar a la yugular es de Dash Tickets y ATP como sigan mareando la perdiz de las devoluciones. Por ahora ya he abierto una disputa en paypal.

We are terribly disappointed to hear the news today that ATP has cancelled the Jabberwocky event scheduled for this weekend. Our entire team has poured immense effort into helping ATP with their ticketing programme over the past several months, investing considerable time, money and energy, all in good faith.
Our trust in ATP seems to have been misplaced, as their emails to fans and customers today concerning refunds have become deliberately misleading. It is for this reason that we feel compelled to make it clear that Dash has given to ATP all funds that Dash received for ticket sales to Jabberwocky. In addition to giving ATP all the ticketing funds, Dash has made substantial advances to ATP which remain unpaid, as do considerable fees for the work we have undertaken on their behalf.
It is important that everyone knows that Dash Tickets is in no way responsible for ATPs financial problems, nor with their conduct post cancellation. We are very keen to learn where the money has gone!
We thought more of ATP and its Directors. We hope that they will do the right thing and expedite refunds to all fans.
Dash will now take legal advice with the aim of commencing legal proceedings against ATP (Willwal Limited), to attempt to recover all funds.
As music lovers and event fans ourselves, we share in the frustration around this cancellation and we will do its utmost to help as many of you as possible.

Vaya putada! Yo todavía estoy esperando que me devuelvan un pastizal del festival On the Sea de hace dos años. El promotor, organizador me lleva dando largas desde entonces, aunque insiste en que me va a pagar. Ya veremos!

muy triste todo este asunto y lo peor es que no es la primera vez. no solo lo de la cancelación sino todo el follón de las devoluciones y demás.
pitchfork y primavera no tienen nada que decir más que hacer un copy/paste de la nota del puto barry? se lavan las manos y listos? a priori parecía que era un festi que montaban entre los tres…

Todo sold out. De ayer estoy em londres para ir a slint hoy y sin conexión a intermet no pude ver nada sobre los bolos alternativos que se han ido creando.

Lo que dudo mucho es que el ATP se recupere de ésta. Aunque también lo dudaba la última vez que les pasó algo parecido.
Yo creo que ni de coña, por lo menos para volver a hacer festivales del nivel que acostumbraban. Y de todas formas ya dijeron que no volvían a los "holidays camp" en Inglaterra…
Una lástima por la parte que nos toca: por el tiempo y dinero que han perdido los que iban a eventos que han cancelado y por lo que vamos a dejar de disfrutar cuando ATP desaparezca.
