Both are packaged in an embossed gatefold sleeve with a large fold-out poster with lyrics and photo. From Autumnal to Vernal Equinox, this is the Death In June Winter tree. Stripped bare, but for thirteen of its branches. But they are as strong as ever, and with thirteen glasses and one last toast, this new album captures the true essence of Death In June, again setting new standards in its self-created genre. Pues porque ellos dicen que es nuevo, porque es la prueba palpable (una más) que Douglas P. hace años que no rasca bola. Los tres acordes de guitarra siguen presentes erre que erre, la producción sigue siendo la misma, todos los ticks son repetición de repetición. Y, encima, sus discos son carísimos en las tiendas.
Seguro que hasta Tibet lo ha dejado por imposible. -

Nah, ahora lo he escuchado por encima y entiendo porque en el CD pone RGP DUB, son 4 instrumentales muy, muy cutres en plan dub y algo de ruido. Si alguien lo quiere lo subo, ni siquiera parece RGC.
hombre, a mi también me ha chafado un poco que no fueran más canciones del rollo del disco pero tanto como cutre… de todas maneras no sorprende porque la mitad del segundo EP que hicieron el año pasado (y sigue siendo el único sitio donde encontrar poor man's daughter que es tremenda) ya era dub instrumental del mismo palo.

Climb a mountain. Reach the summit. Gaze in awe at the stunning, dramatic vistas. The soundtrack to such an event would be provided by Kyte. Their luscious melodies take the listener on a journey that, at its best, soars, with breathless aural backdrops and delicate drops of magic.
The self-titled debut begins in no uncertain fashion with the epic Planet. It’s at once beautifully grandiose, and wholly understated, an enchanting opener. Over layer upon layer of delicate, delay soaked guitar melodies, the breathy vocals drift, and the bass pounds along to a strong rhythm that builds as the song progresses.
It is, however, the second track, Boundaries that is the first standout point of the album. The song is built around a fragile, beautiful guitar melody, that ripens, swells, and bursts into a throbbing, unashamedly stunning piece of music. With guitar and piano melodies so entwined as to be inseparable.
It’s clear from the off that this Leicester five-piece have a lot of balls. All too often debut albums are tentative forays into bandwagon-joining, substanceless, scene-fucking blandness. But with more than half the songs clocking in at well over the six minute mark, and with a sound shamelessly epic, Kyte are not about to be rushed, and none of the above adjectives could conceivably be attributed to them.

Akron, Detroit, Seattle, Boston, Washington DC, Chappell Hill, Memphis, Dallas, the country kept turning out wayward visionaries, grounded in rock 'n' roll but telling singular stories. In the 21st century, media-watchers keep telling us we're becoming more and more alike. They are completely wrong, of course, and here's the latest piece of evidence. Thomas Function love punk rock, but they love country, blues, new wave, garage rock, and the shit happening up the street, too. It comes out sounding like a bunch of earnest, severe songs from the foothills of Huntsville, Alabama, full of anger, clarity, and bourbon. Is America on the brink of a new rock 'n' roll renaissance? People who snapped up their instantly OOP singles, saw one of their chaotic shows, or participated in the fervid blogging about this bunch aren't betting against it.
