The Flaming Lips - The Terror
suena unas 300 veces mejor que lo que ya se había filtrado hace semanas, por cierto.
Es verdad, ahora si que podemos escuchar al 'The Terror' en todo su esplendor. En este caso vale la pena volverlo a descargar. Más graves, más agudos, más separación de canales, espectacular. Yo que ya estaba entusiasmado con el álbum, ahora ya es disco del año directamente.

le estoy dando una vuelta ahora mismo y me esta pareciendo bastante conyazo. digo yo que igual en los proximos nueve meses sale algo mejor, si no ha salido ya, que para mi que si.

Hombre, es un disco difícil, o incluso muy difícil. Hay que escucharlo bastantes veces como ya dije en su momento, y todo entero. Si no se tiene un mínimo de interés o paciencia, entiendo que pueda ser un verdadero coñazo. Y claro que quedan nueve meses y espero grandes discos, pero si cerrásemos el año ahora mismo, 'The Terror' estaría en mi Top 3 seguro.

All output from Olympia, Washington nostalgia- punk quartet Milk Music before their full-length Cruise Your Illusion pointed pretty directly to the influence of SST record’s roster of late-’80s and early-’90s guitar-centric post-punk bands. The angular ruggedness barely concealing pop cores recalled Hüsker Dü, the stripped-down production aesthetic hinted at the economical approach of the Minutemen, and just about everything else echoed resoundingly of Dinosaur Jr. With this 12-song debut, the band keep their backward-looking esthetic but also manage to deliver a sound that’s developed past its immediately recognizable influences. This change isn’t due to the usual polished production values that sometimes clean up a band’s sound. Cruise Your Illusion, recorded on four tracks of 1/2″ tape, relies completely on analog warmth and the power of the performances to move the album along.
