Primavera Sound 2015 - lineup - your wishlist

  • seems like the names for the hidden stage will be revealed on monday:

    https://twitter.com/Heineken_ES/status/591602643740467200

  • the bands for the hidden stage are:

the vaselines, battles, the pastels, mujeres, sierra leone refugee all stars , mercromina

  • Yeah it's cool to see a few new bands added. I'm particularly delighted The Pastels have been added. Does anyone know if you have to queue for tickets for the Hidden Stage this year in the same way as last year? I saw the Buzzcocks on the hidden stage, it was great.

Well, just waiting for the timetable now and the inevitable heartache that'll cause. The Friday is a potential nightmare for me but hey, there's worse problems in the world than having to worry about what bands I'll miss.

  • I won't be there this year, so hopefully the lineup quality next year is on par with 2011 or 2014.

Interesting that they're doing the hidden stage again

    @9y4qk5db:

All those who wish to attend can get a free ticket for the Heineken® Hidden Stage programme at the information desk on the Parc del Fòrum site, from 5 pm on the day of the concert that they wish to see. It will be on a one ticket per person per concert basis until full capacity is reached.

i tried to get tickets for buzzcocks last year but was way too late. i guess it's either primavera al parc shows or tickets for the hidden stage.

  • First confirmed timeslot:
    Cinerama 20:00-20:45

27/05 : BARCELONA, E - Cinerama [45 minute set featuring 13-piece band with strings and additional instrumentation from 8PM] at the Primavera Sound festival

  • the distribution of the stages is online and shellac are not on the atp stage this year.

    i hate the timetable already

  • the timetable will always hurt me, no matter what. there's just too many bands and not enough time, so it's kind of impossible to really make me happy. but yeah, i think i got more clashes and more holes than in the years before.

it seems to me that this year the afternoon and early evening programm is more stuffed than usual (disappears at 5 pm?). thursday after midnight is lacking for me, then again thursday night was always more electronics than guitars, so no surprise here.

the replacments vs mikal cronin clash was the one i feared most, and here it is! with sun kil moon, ought and thurston moore all playing at the same time it might be the most packed hour i've ever seen.

single mothers vs hookworms and health, shellac, thee oh sees sucks too.

but enough with my bitching, only three week left!

  • Thurston Moore Band and Sun Kil Moon playing at the same time?
Isn't Steve Shelley supposed to perform with both bands?

looks like they'll be releasing it pretty soon. good.

  • Only doing the Saturday (and some of the free stuff in the Parc over the three days) and, typically, the two bands at the top of my list (Interpol and Unknown Mortal Orchestra) clash. I really can't decide between the two

and suddenly i understand your problem. seems like unknown mortal orchestra are no longer playing in the parc. i've planned to skip them in the forum and watch flyying colours on the h&m-stage, but now…

Yes, disappeared off the Parc schedule

  • Some information about reservations for the auditori-concerts and the Interpol-concert at Sala Apolo would be helpful…

Due to the limited capacity of some of the festival’s venues, there will be a system of reservation tickets in order to make access to certain concerts of the programme easier.

In order to attend the concert by the New York band Interpol in the sala Apolo on Thursday 28th May at 5 pm, it will be necessary to get a reservation ticket beforehand that you can get free from Friday 22nd May at 4pm on the Primavera Sound Portal, two tickets per person until they run out. At the access to the venue, together with the reservation ticket, it will be necessary to show the full festival bracelet or corresponding ticket if you have not yet exchanged it.

In the case of the Auditori Rockdelux, it will only be necessary to buy reservation tickets for the Panda Bear concert on Thursday 28th and the José González concert on Friday 29th. These tickets are required to access the venue and guarantee an unnumbered seat. You will be able to get the tickets on the day of each concert at the ticket offices outside the Parc del Fòrum from 3pm, at the price of 2€ per ticket and two tickets per person for each concert.

To access all of the exclusive concerts of the Heineken Hidden Stage, it will be necessary to have the corresponding reservation tickets, which will be available on the same day as the concert in question from 4pm at the information desk on the site, two tickets per person per concert until full capacity is reached.

  • that's a wild guess from my side, but looks like diiv and mourn are playing a show together. same label and they do seem to like each other: https://twitter.com/ohmourn/status/579168326821277696
    sounds great to me.

edit: well, i was wrong. just some rescheduling (not too psyched about that…)

  • well, to say something: as always, primavera was fantastic. a few things didn't work out for me. at some acts the sound at the pitchfork stage was really terrible, i heard more of the new pornographers than of tobias jesso jr. can't remember having that problem in the past years (and i was there for mount eerie at atp a few years ago), so it might just be that i was standing in the wrong place. and i do think that on thursday and friday after midnight there should have been more diversive guitar-acts. the doom/metal-thing was great in its on way, but too much of the same…

anyway, primavera is doing such a good job when it comes to music. so thank you again!

best performances i saw in no particular order:

spiritualized - wasn't planning on seeing them again, but man, am i thankfull that i went to the show. they played lots of stuff from amazing grace, kinda odd choice, but the magic did happen.
hookworms - wow! while thee oh sees (at the apollo at least) was a bit of a bro-rock-thing, this was really out there. more noise than on the record.
run the jewels - we are the champions!
    electric wizard - massive
disappears - i thought the early slot would be a waste for them, but somehow it worked. the sun, the noise, the sweat, the drums.
the replacements - should have been longer, but still, this show was kind of a once in a lifetime deal. so, thanks for that!
single mothers @ unplugged - some wild fun, perfect.

babes in toyland, julie ruin, perfume genius, dfa79, pallbearer, soft moon, health, sunn o))), mikal cronin (the few songs i saw), fucked up and sleaford mods were great too.
