      @30segundossobreTokyo:2nlsks3g:

      con perdón: la portada del disco homenaje a Radiohead es de lo más espantoso que servidora ha visto en años.

      con la portada hay que tener cuidado, sí. dicen que si te quedas mirándola más de treinta segundos seguidos comienza a escocerte la pupila.

          Lo nuevo de Wu tang con cortes del Old Dirty Bastard, es que ya me suena a: venga! vamos a hacer pasta… sacamos un par de videos con bugas guapos y unas buenas zorras, y a vivir que son tres días y dos son laborables.

          Si el cabrón de Ol'Dirty levantara la cabeza les iba a llenar el culo de plomo a todos.

          estamos hablando de Wu tang?¿? que necesidad tiene Ghostface de "hacer pasta" cuando sus discos en solitario se venden y son buenos?¿?
          es que lo de "vamos a hacer vídeos…" me ha sonao un poco prejuicioso

          La mayoría estan flotando en pasta, incluso creo que RZA y Method generan más pasta aún sacando peores albums que el propio Ghostfacekillah. Pero puede ser que cada vez tenga más prejuicios de unos pavos que sacaron un Enter o un Wu tang forever y después empezaron a emplear la ley del mínimo esfuerzo a la hora de hacer musica… por ejemplo, RZA, las producciones de los discos que menciono, e incluso del Bobby Digita son la puta ostia, pero lo ultimo que tengo escuchado de él se parecen a los temas que monta mi primo pequeño en el ordenata, el tio ahora no se lo curra una mierda. O lo mismo que Raekwon... no se. De unos años para aquí creo que los pavos están acomodados y ahora salen con estrategias comerciales como le de poner la voz del difunto Old Dirty, tu crees si se curraran el disco como es debido tendrían necesidad de hacer Kurt Cobianadas de estas? Yo creo que no.

          Pero con lo famosos que son Method o Redman en los usa tu crees que el samplear a un amigo de ellos muerto es una estrategia comercial? vamos lo que yo quiero decir es que independientemente del estado de forma de quien sea Wu Tang en conjunto no necesitan hacer ni una sola estrategia comercial, ya venden per se

            **Wire - Read & Burn 03 EP

            @3mf86cyg:

            Read & Burn 03 is the first in their series of EPs since the second installment dropped in late 2002. And, unlike past Read & Burns, we're assured that this material isn't going to wind up on the next Wire LP (as was the case on 2003's Send). Didja hear that? There's gonna be another Wire album in the foreseeable future! Not to mention they've gotta do seven more EPs to justify having that 0 in there holding the place for double digits. Wooo 2037!

            Read & Burn 03:

            01 23 Years Too Late
            02 Our Time
            03 No Warning Given
            04 Desert Driving

            FIVE NEW RECORDINGS effected out of sense.
            They may be versions of songs to come. Or they may never reappear…

                                GIUSEPPE IELASI - AUGUST (12K Records, 2007)

                                @sty689ul:

                                12k presents the latest solo work from Italian composer Giuseppe Ielasi. August is the 4th full-length cd from Ielasi following his critically acclaimed debut Plans (Sedimental, 2003) and the stunning Gesine and s/t (Häpna, 2005, 2006).

                                August takes a more linear approach to Ielasi’s composing with sounds stretched like like layers of gauze forming a thick, soft blanket. Utilizing piano, hammond organ, guitars, dobro, synthesizers and shortwave radio, Ielasi creates deep, warm drones and suspended, scratchy melodies with a hint of despair and melancholy that make this a very introspective album. His trademark guitar and live approach to instrumentation are in the forefront yet set behind an expertly processed veil of subtle electronics. The textures are unabashedly acoustic but buried and moody enough as to question their origin.

                                August is a haunting, but beautiful album that falls neatly between the starkness of Gesine and the scattering rhythmic complexity of s/t. LIke music for a farewell, an ending of ends, August is moody, static, slow and emotional.

                                Recorded at Sun Place this summer on a borrowed autoharp with electronics. One 20min track of metallic architecture, as seen with x-ray eyes. This is music for airports on the moons of Jupiter. Each comes in a folder paper sleeve.

                                @sty689ul:

                                The first JOMF studio release since the critically acclaimed 2005 CD, Flags Of The Sacred Harp. Produced by Adam Forkner, Valley Of Fire contains three brand new finely crafted songs and a 20 minute classic psychedelic dirt road journey. The record represents two equally fascinating aspects of JOMF, songwriting and musical arrangement. Over the years JOMF have spent equal time writing and arranging classic American folk and blues and long, freeform compositions, drawing comparisons to 1960s and 70s ensembles like Ash Ra Temple, Amon Duul, AMM, Faust, Can and The Art Ensemble Of Chicago, while at the same time developing a song crafting style passed down through generations. Valley Of Fire picks up the trail of Flags Of The Sacred Harp and wanders down a similar path, adding elements of Krautrock and classic west coast American production to create an incredible, original album. The cover of Valley Of Fire is an original watercolour Painting by American artist Jo Jackson, who creates mystical paintings and shows her work around the world.

                                Tim Hecker - Norberg, Sweden

                                @sty689ul:

                                Recorded at the Norberg Festival (Sweden) amidst the mineshafts and cluttered buildings strewn throughout parts the city, this 21 minute live piece summarises much of what makes Tim Hecker’s music so vital and compelling.

                                Adept at counter-pointing the most ferocious of distorted platters with smooth beds of ambient sound and potent melodic overtones, Tim Hecker creates music with a vast depth. On Norberg, this depth seems almost endless, as layer upon layer of sound are compiled into a swelling and all together visceral oceanic sound wave.

                                Recently touring Australia and New Zealand and performing at ROOM40’S annual festival Open Frame, this CD comes on the back of some incredible live performances in the Southern Hemisphere.

                                > The field recordings throughout gives "These Places…" an earthly feel, a sense of openness, if you will. "Reasons to Go" features gorgeous guitar picking that gives an air of serenity. But this is contrasted by the chaotic sounds of the night around Richardson's hometown of Edinburgh. You can almost picture Richardson, sitting at his window, plucking his guitar as the busy nightlife of Scotland's capital unfolds in front of him.
                                >
                                > On tracks such as "The Whole Town Is Against Us", Richardson guides us into contemplating our own past. Amidst the degraded ambiance, muffled distortion and Sigur Ros' style percussion, the listener will find themselves questioning their own choices. Did I say the right words?, did I do the right thing?, have I chosen the correct paths. These are questions that crop up during periods of uncertainty, after all just about every person has at least one regret. "Two Halves of a Line" works in a similar manner, the optimistic guitar awakens a fleeting sense of euphoria, but the broken computer-board static sounds ensure that we are aware that things are not always as they seem.
                                >
                                > As an album notable for its poignancy, the most gorgeous moment occurs precisely one minute and forty five seconds into "Look After Yourself". Surrounded by a revolving guitar refrain and mournful orchestration, Richardson unleashes beautiful glockenspiel chimes that free an intense amount of tension. It provides the sort of release that many bands aim for, but will never achieve.
                                >
                                > In the end, as the plaintive "Traveling Heart" draws to a close, what we are left with is the perfect sequel to "Sea". A release where Deaf Center's cinematic qualities are channeled through Jasper TX's lo-fi sensibility. "These Place Are Now Ruins" is simply an enthralling piece of work. It portrays Graham Richardson as an honest artist, unafraid to express his innermost feelings on life. His delicate compositions, at times, seem on the verge of collapse, but just like life itself there are flickers of hope peppered throughout. Part Timer - Blue (Flau, 2007)

                                            @3tmhlrqb:

                                            Trust these immaculate Japanese imprints to bring us some of the most beautiful homespun music we've heard this year, and even though Part Timer is the work of Moteer's John McCaffrey, everything about this gorgeous cd evokes the spirit and wide-eyed mystery of Japan, presumably why Tokyo's Flau label has given it a home. Treading that sublime line between lonesome acoustic composition and delicate electronic tampering, the sound of Part Timer will be familiar to those of you enamoured with the music made by the likes of Helios, The Remote Viewer and Tunng, covered in that misty-eyed sheen that cant help but tug at the heartstrings without ever coming across as overly emotional. Album opener "theme from Part Timer" is just sublime, some old recordings of a long forgotten day out at the beach shimmer away in the background while a resonant acoustic guitar provides the emotional backbone around which delicate strings and timeless chord progressions suck you into a world of blissful nostalgia. "Hide All You Like" is the first of a couple of tracks featuring the instantly recognisable vocals of Nicola Hodgkinson (of Empress fame), and with a detached melancholy her voice drags this material into another dimension, away from the more familiar confines of instrumental music and into the same kind of musical domain inhabited by the likes of the aforementioned Tunng. "Sudden Loss" is another standout piece, a lonely violin and prepared acoustic guitar nervously igniting the track into a blissful musical arrangement not unlike something out of Bruce Langhorne's gorgeous soundtrack for "The Hired Hand", with only the odd digital Malfunction betraying the music's 21st century origins. "Blue" is just a gorgeous album, produced with a singular musical vision that's impossible not to adore, layered with a plethora of homespun musical signatures that transcend any kind of laptop music you could think of, and housed in the kind of typically lavish Japanese packaging that makes it utterly irresistible. Gorgeous music - brought to you with a massive recommendation.
