yo lo tengo con la portada que he colgado. la tuya puede ser la edición yanqui, ¿me equivoco? eso sí, no encontré por ningún lado la edición en fundita de cartón. en bcore lo tienen. a ellos les pedí el EP de edición japonesa 'science', que fue grabado en las mismas sesiones de 'capoëira'. sus discos anteriores los pillé por ebay tiradísimos de precio (5 euros incluyendo gastos de envío o algo así). el anterior a éste, 'chateauvallon', también es magnífico. albini toca la batería en uno de los temas.
la firma llevo ya varios días queriendo actualizarla. aprovecho tu llamada de atención para hacerlo.

parad ya de poner tantos discos buenos cabroooones!! una de dos, o no me había mirado nunca los posts estos de filtraciones o la gente está muy inspirada ultimamente (y ante todo, que los grupos sacan cosas buenas supongo yo)
ei chema, por enesima vez he intentado acceder al de vandermark y no puedo (al final vi que había "xx" en vez de "tt" en el "http" pero luego también es una odisea…) si tienes otro link se agradeceria

estoy escuchando el de los dirt music... joder qué buenos los 3 pistoleros estos (ese hugo race de mis amores nunca falla el cabrón...). qué fácil parece todo y qué honestos suenan... arhhhahghakhdedit: me lo he bajado dos veces y las dos ha tardado como 1 hora o mas. la primera me han salido 5 temas y la segunda 6. el disco tiene 8. jodete company.
paro ja amb el tema de vandermark i el déuqueelvaarribarhastaparir!!me'l compro i s'ha acabat la història

El otro día me bajé este disco del KoKoro, y me ha gustado mucho. Es un grupo canadiense muy folk pop… una mezcla entre Azure Ray y The Mountain Goats rodeado por ese sonido canadiense al que ya nos han acostumbrado ciertas bandas por poner una simple comparación. Lo han editado ellos mismos.

PD: me ha dado muy fuerte con este disco, me lo baje hace unas semanas porque tenía buena pinta, pero me ha dejado mejor sabor de boca de lo que pensava...
Proyecto de David Colohan's, folk, drones, electrónica, un doble disco muy completo... canciones tristes, canciones bonitas... una voz que te atrapa, suaves melodias, guitarra acustica, piano que se cruzan con paisajes electrónicos , drones...
Un disco k crece en cada escucha... pim pam -

Agitated Radio Pilot - World Winding Down [Deserted Village 2007]

This has to be one of the most beautifully sad, song-based albums I have heard in some time. Agitated Radio Pilot is the vehicle for songwriter David Colohan, who might be better known for his role at the Deserted Village label. "World Winding Down" finds Colohan working with a cast of like minded collaborators (including Maja Eliot, Richard Moult, Sharon Kraus, and Richard Skelton to name just a few) to create a double disc album of songs cycling through a heartfelt range of feelings dealing with loss, acceptance, impermanence, and love. The songs are mostly centered around simple acoustic guitar passages wrapped up in accordion, piano, and various drones. The maturity of Colohan's songwriting voice is shown in his ability to squeeze every ounce of emotion out of seemingly simple melodies. All of this would be in vain though without the introspective lyrics that reveal just enough to keep the listener feeling as though Colohan might just be speaking inside of their own minds.
The sense of melancholy captured on "World Winding Down" is so specific and special, but I can't help but compare it to one of my all time favorite records by This Mortal Coil -"It'll End it Tears". Both albums happen to share a cover of Roy Harper's "Another Day", but the similarity goes deeper than that. Anyone who was ever a fan of This Mortal Coil can understand the juxtaposition of beauty and sadness that they perfected. It was kind of like a nostalgic dream in which every hope and every lost love you ever had came back to gently haunt and caress you. It's hard to put into words, which was why I am so thrilled to hear Colohan tapping into that same stream- his rich baritone voice pulling from the collective memory of so many souls too sensitive for their own good. This album will undoubtedly stand the test of time, the pacing of ambient interludes with incredibly memorable songs is perfect and makes for a listening experience which grows along with the listener. I've had this on repeat since I received it, and I it still continues to move me.
