  • He subido esto xk creo que hay gente que le puede interesar, es más lo recomiendo y incluso estoy pensando en ir al periferias a ver este espectáculo, lo que cae muy cerca del tanned tin creo…

    El diezmado cuarteto italiano Larsen, ha sacado un CD/DVD que retrata la tarde que aconteció en el Teatro Coliseo de Turín. Se trató de un tributo al artista gráfico y fotógrafo avant-garde checo Karel Teige, fundador del movimiento Devětsil (Nueve Fuerzas) en los años 20, responsable de la introducción de eventos y charlas en Chequia relacionados con el movimiento Surrealista, y considerado por André Breton como "quien hizo florecer el Surrealismo en Praga como lo hizo en París".

    Muchas gracias por el detalle, Pelukini, lo escuché en el trabajo una vez y me gustó, pero aún no me entró tanto como el otro, que tiene unos temazos más directos o eso me pareció. Voy a darle unas cuantas escuchas a ver como evoluciona.

    De lo último que habéis filtrado a mi el nuevo de Beirut y el de Jose Gonzalez me parecen tan buenos o mejores que los anteriores. Me encantan.
    El nuevo de Iron & Wine también me gusta muchísimo y el de Pj Harvey es precioso y me pide aún más escuchas, pero me mola que se haya autoimpuesto un cambio en su carrera.

    Gracias a los que se preocupan porque vagos y neandertales tecnológicos como yo consigan escuchar novedades sin esfuerzo alguno, a tan solo un par de clicks. Eso si, conozco un 5% de los grupos que aparecen por aqui últimamente...

    Yellow Swans - At All Ends

    On their second album for Load, Gabriel Mindel Saloman and Pete Swanson again make a lot of righteously gloomy noise soundscapes for the masses they wouldn't have it any other way, of course. With Daniel Voss again providing engineering help while Marcelo Spina oversees production, Yellow Swans begin the album with the title track, a slow swell of a throbbing dark rhythm the bedrock for a series of overlaid drones and feedback wails, Swanson's guitar turning slowly into a triumphant crescendo somewhere between a minimal sitar piece and pure overload. It's perhaps the most straightforwardly rock thing the band's recorded in some time but even then it's not quite normal, and a good thing too. From there much of the album seems to take on a desert theme, at least due to three successive song titles "Stretch the Sands," "Our Oases," "Mass Mirage." Alliteration and assonance aside, all three find Swanson fully embraces spacerock dramatics filtered through the vast soundscapes created by the likes of Flying Saucer Attack, sheets of feedback howl and moan turning into something utterly transcendent, with "Our Oases" the most spectacular example even at being the shortest in length. "Endlessly Making an End of Things" concludes the album in a more astrigent fashion initially, though like the opener more and more sound builds on it while mournful wordless vocals snake through the mix in counterpoint as distant siren songs.
