Lo sé… Pero ya sabes que siempre expreso la verdad de lo que siento y vivo... Así fue, así aconteció, y así os lo conté. Muy malo, pero en el fondo me reí de mí misma y de mi falta de visión ocular (entre otras muchísimas cosas). Después de leerlo (unas trece veces), me dí cuenta de que ponía: Refléx.

One girl in the audience handed over $100 in cash for the opportunity to watch The Daily Show backstage. Asking $50 ticket buyers to shell out more dough was crass, Hodgman noted, but this was a benefit after all: the money goes to help children "learn to fight." Wait, no … "to write." Not fight.
Did we get our duet? According to this post title, yes. But first a recap:
Aside from a handful of requests, this was the quietest audience I've ever witnessed at a concert. Not one person stood from his seat all night. Someone shushed someone else for coughing. Jon Stewart kicked things off at 8 PM with an America: The Book bit, and 826 Founder Dave Eggers screened a video about the writing centers and their pirate and superhero stores. John Roderick rocked solo, with an acoustic guitar and hilarious NY-themed banter, but we got only three stripped-down Long Winters tunes: "Ultimatum," "Pushover," "The Commander Thinks Aloud."
Next up: Sufjan, with a necktie instead of a ballcap! Fancy pants. (While the band set up, Hodgman noted how nicely Mr. Stevens's slacks fit.) Sufjan led the six-piece band first on banjo ("The Mistress Witch From McClure") then piano for an especially jazzy "Jacksonville" and a less-pomp'd "Chicago" on which Katrina Kerns shined. We got "Casimir Pulaski Day" too.
Soof shared an "awwww" story recounting how he was put in Special Ed 'cause he didn't know how to read and write when he switched to public school in third grade. A teacher, for reasons unknown to the future chamber pop hero, encouraged Sufjan to write a story. That year he wrote his first novel (about a flying elevator). He dedicated "The Dress Looks Nice on You" to the teacher.
After a brief intermission, and a short story from Sarah Vowell and surprise guest Eric Bogosian, the night's headliner David Byrne strolled centerstage in a bright, yellow suit. The legendary rocker/author/Powerpointer surprised everyone with an "all country" (!) set, heavy on covers. And pedal steel. But it was actually pretty cool -- and certainly special -- especially two honky-tonked Heads cuts: "The Big Country" and "Creatures of Love."
And how! We raised $15,000! So a sheepish Sufjan joined David to cover "Saginaw, Michigan" ("a song about Michigan Sufjan didn't write," Byrne quipped). 'My Sharona' Drummer Bruce Gary Dies at 55 4:50PM / 24.08.2006
LOS ANGELES (Aug. 24) - Bruce Gary, the rock drummer who worked with George Harrison , Bob Dylan and Stephen Stills but is best known as The Knack's original drummer on "My Sharona," has died. He was 55.
Gary died Tuesday at Tarzana Medical Center of lymphoma, said Helen Gary, the drummer's mother.
Besides Harrison, Dylan and Stills, he recorded with Cream 's Jack Bruce, Rod Stewart , Sheryl Crow , Bette Midler , Yoko Ono , Harry Nilsson and The Doors ' guitarist Robby Krieger, according to the Web site http://www.brucegary.com.
Gary also worked with blues masters Albert Collins, Albert King and John Lee Hooker and toured with former Eagles member Randy Meisner and Spencer Davis.
He also co-produced a series of posthumous releases from Jimi Hendrix , including the "Blues" compilation.
Gary also produced the CD of drum samples "Bruce Gary's Drum Vocabulary." The drum loops are popular in professional and home recording studios where they can be added to any song.
The Knack was formed in 1978 and a year later hit it big with "My Sharona." The group's debut album "Get the Knack" sold 6 million copies, followed by a second album "... But the Little Girls Understand," which sold 2 million.

El FIB crece
Se presenta la Ciudad de la Música de BenicàssimEl FIB sigue creciendo. En el actual recinto del FIB se creará la futura Ciudad de la Música de Benicàssim, un proyecto impulsado por los hermanos José y Miguel Morán y que contará con veinte salas de ensayo y dos estudios de grbación, además de cuatro escenarios fijos con capacidad para 40.000, 10.000, 5.000 y 1.200 personas. Estos escenarios contarán además con medios técnicos para poder grabar los conciertos en directo.
Además, la Ciudad de la Música contará con un edificio con camerinos para los artistas, un amplio espacio donde éstos podrán ensayar sus giras y una gran sala de prensa. El objetivo es convertir a Benicàssim en un referente europeo dentro de la industria musical, y en una de las plazas imprescindibles para todas las grandes giras nacionales e internacionales.

Mediante un comunicado publicado por Pitchfork, Trevor Jackson ha anunciado que su aventura al frente de Output Recordings, y por la tanto la vida misma del sello, han llegado a su fin. La compañía que editó en su día singles y álbumes de MU, Four Tet, Colder, Dead Combo, LCD Soundsystem, o The Rapture, cierra tras diez años de actividad dedicada fundamentalmente a la electrónica. Jackson alegó que ha tomado esta decisión por problemas económicos, "amigos que se convierten en monstruos" y por la pesadilla general que supone llevar un sello discográfico.
A partir del próximo 1 de octubre, los últimos lanzamientos de Output (coincidiendo con la referencia número 100 del sello) estarán disponibles en mp3, durante un mes y de manera gratuita, a través de su página web. No está previsto que apartir de entonces se fabriquen más unidades del catálogo de output ni haya más lanzamientos.
