El próximo 23 de octubre se pondrá a la venta Pulp Peel, el disco que recopila las grabaciones que la banda de Jarvis Cocker efectuó para las Peel Sessions. Son un total de 29 temas que recogen temas grabados entre 1981 y 2001. Los temas que lo formarán son:

Como es de los mejores grupos que he visto este año en directo no me sabría mal volver a verlos.

el (piano) tiene 19 años y ella 16 (batería) al revés que los Dresden y hacen un estil muy similar y menos currado pero estan muy bien.
También me encataría ver a los Tiger Lillies pero eso como pesado igual ya lo he comentado 200000 veces y pido perdón.

NEW YORK - All it took was daddy's little girl to turn David Bowie from a rock star into the voice of a cartoon.
Bowie will be a guest on Nickelodeon's "SpongeBob SquarePants," playing a character called Lord Royal Highness in a show that will air next year.
Bowie, 59, said his 6-year-old daughter, Alexandria Zahra, is a huge SpongeBob fan and they watch the show together. He wrote in his blog that he's "hit the Holy Grail of animation gigs.
"We, the family, are thrilled. Nothing else need happen this year, well, this week anyway," Bowie said.
Bowie, who received a lifetime achievement honor at the Grammys this year and whose songs include "Fame," "Young Americans" and "Space Oddity," was previously the voice of Boz in David Cage's 1999 "Omikron: The Nomad Soul." He plays inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla in Christopher Nolan's upcoming movie "The Prestige," in theaters Oct. 20.

Segun mis fuentes se habria peleado con su hermano. André piensa que David tiene objetivos demasiado "grandes" para el grupo.Ahora André canta en las calles de Paris.

yo ya he abandonado la posibilidad de verle por españa, cuando haga nueva gira europea, me movere. Esta visto que el señor Waits no desea pisar nuestras tierras. Me contentare en un mes con el triple disco que va a sacar. El que no se consuela es porque no quiere.

NUEVO DE PJ HARVEY
PJ Harvey preparará este otoño el que será su nuevo álbum de estudio. La artista británica volverá a contar en la producción con John Parish y Flood para un trabajo que se espera vea la luz a lo largo de 2007. Parece que en él PJ Harvey dará un giro a su trayectoria, ya que ha compuesto en el piano los temas que formarán su nuevo larga duración.

This weekend, plaintive country-tinged rockers Two Gallants were involved in a downright scary fracas with what the person who posted this clip is calling a “power hungry” cop down in Houston, Texas. The basics: During the band’s set at Walter’s on Washington club, a police officer responded to a noise complaint and ended up onstage with the band, getting in the face of singer Adam Stephens, demanding he stop playing. What happened next isn’t 100 percent clear, but the cop and Stephens ended up exchanging words and struggling on the ground, along with other members of the band and their tour-mates, Trainwreck Riders.
According to Two Gallants’ publicist, “Adam from Two Gallants, Andrew from Trainwreck Riders, Two Gallants’ tour manager, as well as a fourteen-year-old boy were tasered by the police for no apparent reason at the club (the fourteen-year-old went into seizures). Tyson Vogel (drummer from Two Gallants) and Andrew Kerwin (guitarist from Trainwreck Riders) had to pay $1,400 each to post bail to get out of jail.”

Leave it to Scarlett Johansson to do something all the other It girls are doing, except better. Johansson is apparently planning to record her debut album, Scarlett Sings Tom Waits, this winter. The record will, you know, consist of Waits material sung by Ms. Johansson. Scott Storch will be producing of course. Just kidding. Actually it’s not entirely clear who Johansson will be collaborating with on this project.
This isn’t the first time the pout-y hipster dream girl has been paired with an older icon; Bob Dylan featured Johansson in his ethereal, maudlin video for “When the Deal Goes Down,” and then there was the seriously spark-filled martini-sharing sessions between Johansson and Bill Murray in Lost in Translation. This is the first time Johansson has put her heart on her sleeve re: her admiration for one of those gruff, aged iconic men, as opposed to the other way around. The best part is that there isn’t even a cringe factor here. Actress plus recording contract usually equals completely mortifying disaster, but we have this weird faith that she can pull it off. Can she?
