Low Tread The Violet Path, Tour

Just as the frost clears on the cusp of spring this coming year, it'll be time to get low with the stately winter-core of Low once again, as the Duluth trio– now augmented with new bassist Matt Livingston-- unleashes its eighth long-player, and second for Sub Pop, tentatively titled The Violet Path.

As with its predecessor, 2005's The Great Destroyer, The Violet Path features production from studio ace and fifth Flaming Lip Dave Fridmann. While on the road with the Retribution Gospel Choir, Low's Alan Sparhawk was kind enough to share a few bits of information on the new disc with Pitchfork.

Themes of murder and death, as it happens, permeate The Violet Path. "Near as I can tell, it's all about killing," Sparhawk told Pitchfork. "I was kind of realizing the other day that a lot of the songs deal with either killing someone or dying. I don't know, it's kind of funny...maybe that's the big question. [We're] kind of living in a time when it's good to talk about killing and being killed."

Lo nuevo de SR. CHINARRO

Con dos semanas de retraso con respecto a la fecha inicial de salida será publicado El Mundo Según, el nuevo trabajo de Sr. Chinarro. El día 4 de diciembre se pondrá en circulación la que será continuación de El Fuego Amigo (05), que ha sido producida por Jordi Gil y que será editado por Mushroom Pillow. El primer single será "La Decoración", y el listado de temas que formarán este nuevo largo de Antonio Luque es el siguiente:

Nick Cave to reelase 'foul-mouthed' new album
The Grinderman is coming next year

Nick Cave and several of his band The Bad Seeds are to release an album under the name Grinderman early next year.

The band features are Cave on vocals and guitar, backed by Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos.

The as-yet-untitled LP, which is reported to be "foul-mouthed and noisy", will be release on March 5.

Speaking about the record Casey said: "It wasn't consciously two fingers to maturity but I remember thinking, all the way through, 'This isn't bad for a bunch of old farts'", while Cave added: "We're just searching for a bit of freedom."

The track 'No Pussy Blues' can be heard on the band's MySpace site Myspace.ccom/grinderman.

Los fiberfcompis apartir del dia 15 de diciembre ya tienen a su dispocición las entradas para el FIB'07… se sabe ya cuando se podran adquirir las del PS'07? no soy un ansias... es sólo para estar atento, el año pasado por culpa de una colega terminé pagando el abono a precio final... este año quiero comparmelo antes (si hace lo de cada año en plan ofertón)

_El coloso del Casiotone, casi en llamas

El último sábado de octubre a Owen Ashworth, más conocido como Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, se le quemó el apartamento donde vivía con su novia en Chicago. El músico estuvo el pasado mes en España -actuando en el Rockdelux Music Weekend-. Como resultado del espectacular incidente -apunte: perdieron su apartamento porque se quemó todo el edificio- ha visto convertirse en ceniza buena parte de su material y equipamiento musical. La pareja echa de menos también a su gata, Rufus, del que no se tienen noticias. "Esperamos que pudiera escapar por sí mismo", ha declarado Owen. Ahora toca cancelar actuaciones otoñales y buscar nuevo apartamento. Le deseamos suerte, que la vivienda está jodida. Ay, la vida, qué dura es._

Cartel bastante interesante que cuadraría con muchas peticiones que hacemos para el PS07 como TV on the radio, Tapes 'n tapes, Beirut… y tambien otros como Spinto band, Joan as police woman, Gang of four... este año se lo han curado!

Y unos que el Mr. alabó después de su paseíllo por festivales europeos, Spank Rock y otros de los que dijo que estaban verdecillos, Love is All. También está el Jarvis, que inaugura así el rollo festivalero. No me extrañaría nada verlo por el PSound. A la que no sé dónde ubicar es a la Lilly Allen. El tiempo dirá en qué festi se la ubica.
