Longtime Jayhawks member, Tim O’Reagan finally steps to the forefront with his upcoming release on Lost Highway Records-due 6/27. Tim wrote, recorded, and sang all the songs with the help of his Jayhawks friends and others. Expect a melodic blend of Americana folk-rock with British pop from a bygone era.

Jazz legend Miles Davis, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday, may be resurrected in a biographical movie with Don Cheadle playing the lead, Davis' family said.

His nephew, Vince Wilburn, told reporters after Davis was inducted into the Hall of Fame that Sony Pictures was working on a movie as well as planning several CDs to celebrate what would have been Davis' 80th birthday later this year.

"People are submitting scripts to Sony Pictures," Wilburn said. "A few names have come up (to play Davis) but Don Cheadle's name keeps coming up," he said.

Wilburn said the movie could touch on Davis' private life as well as his career as a groundbreaking jazz musician who later branched out into music that crossed over into rock and funk.

Wilburn said a possible director for the film was Antoine Fuqua, best known for "Training Day," the movie for which Denzel Washington won a best-acting Oscar in 2002.

Davis' son, Gregory, recalled touring with his father, who died of a stroke in 1991, and said he would have been proud of the honor bestowed on him at Monday's gala ceremony in New York's Waldorf-Astoria hotel.

"We're very proud because this man's ancestors came out of slavery and he's an international icon all over the world and America should be proud of him," he said.

Asked about Davis' reputation as a tough and difficult man, his daughter, Cheryl, conceded that image was accurate at times but said there was another side to him. "He wasn't an angry black man ... he was very humorous. ... He lived life to the fullest and he absorbed cultures from all over the world."

Madonna descubre que Camila es prima lejana suya

A primera vista, la cantante Madonna y la duquesa de Cornualles no tienen nada en común, pero, aunque cueste creerlo, si uno se fija al final encuentra parecidos. Yno es de extrañar porque Madonna, que ha buceado en sus raíces familiares, ha descubierto que está relacionada con la segunda esposa del príncipe Carlos. Aunque sus apellidos atestiguan una ascendencia italiana, la cantante estadounidense es prima lejana de Camila Parker-Bowles, según ha salido a la luz tras realizar un completo estudio genealógico. Además, entre sus parientes también está su compañera de profesión Céline Dion.

Con la ayuda de genealogista William Addams Reitwiesner, la reina del pop está intentando reconstruir su pasado familiar. Y en este regreso al pasado ha encontrado un pariente común con Camila, lo que la convierte en prima lejana de la futura reina británica. Ambas mujeres son descendientes de Zacharie Cloutier, que al parecer vivió entre 1617 y 1708. Madonna y Celine Dion comparten también un antepasado, Jean Guyon, que murió a finales del siglo XVII en Canadá.

Los maliciosos comentan que este vínculo genético común de Madonna y Camila puede explicar su casi adicción a la peluquería, el tono rubio platino que ambas lucen y el interés de la cantante por imitar el acento british, lo que le ha costado más de una burla entre la sociedad británica más rancia.

When your mom's the original Material Girl, best known for her outrageous dress sense, could you expect anything less?

Little Lourdes was styled to a T -- sporting trendy Converse All Stars, green knee-highs, a retro 80s-style denim skirt and a striped henley.

"I think her stylist was trying to go for 'The Littlest Pussycat Doll' look," says celeb stylist Shane Cisneros. "Lourdes has the ability to wear anything just like her mother -- here, she's channeling mom's Danceteria days."

And yes, you read that right -- the 9-year-old has a stylist.

Whatever the look, it's clear from this picture that Lourdes is precocious, says behavioral analyst and body language expert Maxine Lucille Fiel.

"The way she's standing shows that she may be coming into early womanhood," Fiel says. "I think she's now entering a very interesting phase of adolescence and I wish Madonna luck."

Lourdes' attitude, more Avril than angel, is no surprise -- Madonna's push-the-envelope genes and rebellious streak are in her blood, and their mother-daughter shopping trips to Harvey Nicks and Harrods have fostered her posh fashion sense.

This wee fashion plate, like mom, eschews prissy frocks in favor of pushing the limits of fashion, favors clothes from boutique Bunny London, facials at London's Eve Lom, manicures from Daniel Galvin's salon and posh department store makeup.

Designer-to-the-stars Stella McCartney has also been known to knock out some one-of-a-kind children's pieces for Little Lola.

Clothes, ever a commodity in our material world, are even used as punishment in the Ciccone-Ritchie household.

"My daughter has a problem picking up in her room," Madonna told Ladies' Home Journal. "So if you leave your clothes on the floor, they're going to be gone when you come home. She has to earn all of her clothes back by being tidy."

Still, even if mom's quarantined some of her wardrobe, it looks like Lourdes knows how to work what she's got -- "The swinging of the handbag is a symbol of her independence and early womanhood. That's the thing. It's right in your face," Fiel says.
