La gira de la banda de músic americana, The Mule (Austria), se ha cancelado.
Parece ser que han sufrido un grave accidente y estan hospitalizados. Se están recuperando pero no lo suficiente rápido para estar las próximas dos semanas girando por España, tal y como estaba previsto. -

hey all,
hope you are doing well.
so i'm about a week and a half out of surgery now and rapidly recovering from it. i haven't taken any of the pain meds, which supposedly speeds along the healing process, or should i say, taking them slows it down. anyway, i spent 1 night at the hospital after the surgery. the hospital was too crazy to get any rest so i headed home to relax, have home cooked food and hang out with the family.
i'm pretty well detoxed from the anesthesia that they pumped me up with to keep me under for all that time. that took several days to get out of my system. my neck and jaw are still pretty stiff from the surgery, but it gets better everyday. had the stitches out this past monday… so things are moving along.
but no sooner am i on the mend from this first torture than are they lining up the next one. the next line of treatment will be radiation. that involves blasting you with some kind of beam for a few minutes a day, 5 days a week, for about 7 weeks. that will start in a few weeks...
saw the jay-z cover of no sleep, and the coldplay one of fight for your right from APW on youtube. good shit. and i heard karen o wore a "get well MCA" armband, and that q-tip gave a shout out too..... very kind of them.
just wanted to thank them and everyone else who sent positive thoughts my way. i do think that all of the well wishes have contributed to the fact that my treatment and recovery are going well.

Según las primeras reseñas, pulgares hacia arriba con el nuevo disco de los Soulsavers, "Broken", que sale el próximo lunes, y que tiene como ilustres invitados a Jason Pierce, Mike Patton, Richard Hawley, Gibby Haynes (Butthole Surfers), y Will Oldham. De hecho, el propio Oldham a compuesto el tema que ha salido como single, "You'll miss me when I burn", así como Lanegan se ha sacado de la manga la cara b que la acompaña, y que se pueden escuchar en su myspace. Estan muy bien, la verdad, aunque tampoco soy muy objetivo con la voz de Lanegan.

"You'll miss me when I burn" era el tema que abría el disco homónimo de Palace Brothers, allá por el 94 o 95. O sea que sí, que es de Will Oldham. No estaba mal el disco por otra parte, un poco cortavenas pero ya es ese el rollito del barbacas este, claro.

Ese tema es enorme aunque de ese disco casi que me quedo com I'm a cinematographer. A ver si encuentro la versión que comentais.

Uno de los grupos que más escucho últimamente estará de gira por Europa por noviembre. En su myspace no lo pone pero el 8 y el 9 tocarán en España.http://www.myspace.com/schwervon
Schervon hacen una especie de indie + antifolk. Estan en Olive Juice y ya tenían que tocar por Semana Santa pero organiaron el tour a últimahora y era imposible encontrarles sala, para el duo de chico chica pero tinene batería y ya sabemos lo que cuesta en Barcelona traer grupos con batería y no palmar pasta. -
El nuevo disco de Early Day Miners, The Treatment, ya está listo. Saldrá a la venta el 22 de septiembre en USA y el 21 en Europa. Con él también inician gira americana y europea.

No sé si será sólo este tema (según se puede leer - http://www.chromewaves.net/2009/08/earl ... treatment/ - parece ser algo generalizado), pero el cambio respecto a sus discos anteriores es evidente. Tirada hacia un sonido y unas estructuras más Pop. Veremos a ver, pero este primer tema creo que no me convence nada.

The re-issue is now scheduled for the second half of November, exact release date is tbc.The artwork has changed, some of the packaging is similar to the original release.

Ltd Collectors Edition - 12 disc pill pack + 2 additional cd's of previously unreleased material in new artwork.
Deluxe pack - 3 cd's in one blister pill pack. The original album plus the 2 additional cd's of unreleased material.
Standard jewel case of the original album in new artwork. The old design will no longer be manufactured.**
