_El décimo álbum en estudio de Red Hot Chili Peppers comenzará a grabarse en julio. El disco será el primero con el guitarrista Josh Klinghoffer, tras la marcha de John Frusciante. De nuevo, Rick Rubin se encargará de la producción.
“Tenemos gran cantidad de material, probablemente unas veinte canciones. La preproducción nos llevará un tiempo, pero para julio ya tendremos pistas reales”, comenta el batería Chad Smith. Y añade, sobre el cambio de guitarrista, “Fue muy triste ver a John salir de la banda, pero debe hacer lo que quiere y seguir su camino. Josh es una fuerza realmente creativa. Tocará la guitarra, escribirá música, cantará y tocará los teclados. Estamos todos emocionados por tenerlo en el grupo”. Claro, ¿qué van a decir?_

Nosotros no cuestionamos a Led Zeppelin, es un grupo que ni nos gusta ni nos disgusta. Pero señalábamos que el productor en cuestión cargaba contra la crítica que se metió en su momento con Led Zep y decía que dónde estaba esa crítica. Pues Led Zep, a ojos de la crítica (que es a lo que se refiere el sujeto), no es que haya mejorado mucho desde los 70. Led Zep han vendido no mucho, sino más que un huevo, y eso es incuestionable.
Lo de que no nos gusta Led Zeppelin, por mucho que releemos, no lo hemos encontrado. Finalmente, igual sí que parecía necesario aclarar por dónde iba usted.

el malentendido viene porque yo interpreté que ustedes lo decían como algo despectivo hacia el grupo seguramente porque para mi está claro que la actitud de la crítica musical más talibán hacia ellos ha mejorado notablemente con el paso de los años, y aunque sigue habiendo algunos críticos que se mofan de ellos, no tiene nada que ver con los palos generalizados que le llovían desde todos sitios cuando el grupo estaba todavía en activo.
además, no creo que lo único incuestionable que Led Zeppelin hayan hecho sea vender un huevo y medio de discos, para mi su influencia en muchos músicos muy distintos en los últimos 30 años es bastante grande, y no sólo en lo musical.

pues a mí me parece una de las despedidas más cabales y sensatas que recuerdo, un grupo que es consciente que ha exprimido al máximo todo lo que cabía en su espectro musical.
nunca olvidaré esos cabezazos con temacos del calibre de Carry. Gracias! -

creo que no se había comentado pero Neil Young está grabando con Daniel Lanois
pues anteayer comenzó su gira en solitario y está tocando varias canciones del disco nuevo que por lo visto tienen muy buena pinta. estos videos no son de ninguna de ellas pero a mi me han puesto los pelos como escarpias:

REGRESAN AUTOLUX
We’re very excited to announce the much-anticipated release of Transit Transit, by Autolux. This enigmatic, Los Angeles-based trio whose debut, Future Perfect, was released to critical acclaim in 2004, has continued to captivate fans anxious for the evolution of their unique sonic aesthetic. Autolux’s sophomore album, Transit Transit, will be released this summer, August 2nd, 2010, on ATP Recordings.
Since they stopped touring in support of Future Perfect in 2006, Autolux has been steadily crafting the songs that make up Transit Transit, as well as continuing to play sold out shows to an ever-growing fan base and opening for a who’s who of the music world - including PJ Harvey on her first solo tour of Russia, and more recently, Thom Yorke, with his latest project, Atoms For Peace. In September 2009, Autolux went on their first headlining US tour, which included an appearance at the Flaming Lips’-curated All Tomorrow's Parties.
Autolux (Carla Azar: vocals/drums, Greg Edwards: vocals/guitar. and Eugene Goreshter: vocals/bass) produced Transit Transit themselves with Edwards serving as engineer. It was recorded in the band’s studio, Space 23, located near downtown Los Angeles. The album begins with the title track, an utterly unique concussion of rhythm, created from a looped sample of an old freezer slamming shut and a simple round of chords from an upright piano. The hypnotic density of the vocals and organic futurism of the instrumentation instantly rearranges any preconceptions about the 'Autolux sound'. “Census” and “Supertoys” play like the logical evolution and refinement of Future Perfect, delivering propulsive grooves and atmospheric chord changes, while “Highchair” combines a simple, yet effective drum machine beat with timpani-esque tom overdubs to create an orchestral lo-fi dance track. There is a notable sonic progression throughout Transit Transit: vintage synthesizers and manipulated ambience glue central song components together, several tracks are built around piano, all three members take turns with lead vocals, harmonies are abundant, and there is even a bit of trumpet. Ultimately, Transit Transit is propelled by its individual members’ strengths, coalescing into beautiful, complex songs. Goreshter continues to innovate his bass style, effortlessly modernising the instrument's melodic role, while still providing an on-edge rawness and groove-filled momentum. Edwards' guitars serve to modulate the moods throughout the record, constantly evoking feelings found in the space between emotions. And Azar's sturdy, creative drumming (a phenomenon to behold on stage) continues on record with plenty of hook beats - ferocious and delicate, at once.
Whether Autolux is a band you are just discovering or you are already a frantic fan, Transit Transit provides a deep and profound world to immerse yourself in.
