"Estará disponible para descarga al precio que quieras pagar, será una donación al conservatorio de música de Silverlake. También habrá un vinilo firmado por mí, y en el interior habrá un trozo de cuerda de bajo que he utilizado en los conciertos. 75 dólares por ello."
"No es la música de Red Hot Chili Peppers o cercana a él. Se trata de un irracional ‘trippy’. En ‘Helen Burns’, toco trompeta, bajo, sintetizadores, caja de ritmos, piano y un montón de cosas más.”

Swans - The Seer
“The Seer took 30 years to make. It’s the culmination of every previous Swans album as well as any other music I’ve ever made, been involved in or imagined. But it’s unfinished, like the songs themselves. It’s one frame in a reel. The frames blur, blend and will eventually fade.
The songs began on an acoustic guitar, then were fleshed out with (invaluable) help from my friends, then were further tortured and seduced in rehearsals, live and in the studio, and now they await further cannibalism and force-feeding as we prepare to perform some of them live, at which point they’ll mutate further, endlessly, or perhaps be discarded for a while.
Despite what you might have heard or presumed, my quest is to spread light and joy through the world. My friends in Swans are all stellar men. Without them I’m a kitten, an infant. Our goal is the same: ecstasy!"

pero yo venia a decir que pinback por fin van a editar un nuevo album. estoy emocionado!

San Diego indie-rock duo Pinback has announced a new record, its first in five years. Information Retrieved comes out Oct. 16 on Temporary Residence, the group’s new label after its former home, Touch And Go, scaled back operations. The band’s last record, Autumn Of The Seraphs, was “delicate,” yet it worked into a “substantial roar” according to some publication called The A.V. Club.
Information Retrieved has been teased since 2009, when the band first hinted it was working on a record. Members Rob Crow and Zach Smith dragged their feet, though, presumably busy with other projects like Smith’s long-standing group Three Mile Pilot and Crow’s solo work. His latest album, He Thinks He’s People, came out last fall. -

se barajan varias posibilidades estando el tour la primera de ellas pero sin dejar de lado otras como un nuevo disco, una pelicula, un webcast e incluso un crucero.
la foto fue enviada ayer a los medios con una unica y criptica frase: "permission to come aboard?" -
un crucero…ahí sí que os dejaréis la nómina del mes, esta vez sin sarcasmos.
