y la música… ¿qué tal?

pues si lo dices por el LEEDS, la musica a mi me gusto mucho, no se si gustaria a algunos de este foro que tienen un gusto demasiado exquisito.

Tocaron Metallica 2 horas y media. Blur 2 horas. Yeah yeah yeahs dieron un conciertazo, como System of a down, Doves, The Streets, Interpol o Ladytron.

Lo malo que tiene es que los conciertos empiezan a las 12 del mediodia y acaban a las 12 de la noche… y te quedas con ganas de mas. Encontramos el sabado 1 carpa donde estaban poniendo el 2º disco de Daft punk en videoclips y los ingleses tumbados en la hierba.

Soy hay un camping donde hay pues...60mil personas? no ha opcion a hoteles o pensiones a no ser que lleves coche y te vaya a Leeds, porque el festival cuando yo fui, en el 2003, estaba a las afueras de la ciudad...

Pero los conciertos suenan de escandalo, nada de esos fallos de sonido que tanto tiene el FIB, por compararlo con algo medianamente parecido a tamaño.

El recinto es muy amplio, con cesped y atracciones, puedes ver el escenario verde subido en cacharritos de feria.....

Venden "drogas naturales"...

no se que mas decir... y que siempre hay grupos que descubrir. en el 2003 iban The Rapture cuando no eran conocidos, Polyphonic spree, Franz ferdinand en una mierda de carpa a las 2 de la tarde o los Keane a la 1 creo que fue :lol:

Y este año me parece un horror que hayan metido a Primal Scream en la carpa!!!!!!!! aunque sea una carpa grande.. Primal deben estan siempre en el grande!!!

el Observatori tiene actuciones muy interesantes este año. Michael Gendrau, Jason Khan y Daniel Menche son artitas que podrian haber estado muy bien en el cartel del Sonar este año.

Swedish rock icon

Swedish Thåström has excited music lovers throughout several decades. With a new heart-rending album out and a continuous musical inspiration, Thåström is welcomed at this summer's Roskilde Festival.
He has moved from punk, across Jacques Brell-esque songs, industrial and electrified rock discharges to stripped down singer-songwriter ballads. Swedish Joakim Thåström holds lots of expressions, lots of moods and is responsible for a characteristic treasury of song that has placed him on top of the musical pedestal in his native country.

Thåström has a wide-ranging back catalogue. But regardless of the type of expression, he sings with an intensity affecting everyone listening - across the generations. His songs ooze of a timeless quality which is just as exciting for fans from Thåström's own generation as today's youth. At Roskilde Festival, rock fans of all ages will stand ready to receive the Swedish rock icon and poet.

The first time Joakim Thåström made himself heard was in 1978 in the punk band Ebba Grön who roamed the Swedish underground. Later he played in Imperiet, a highly popular Swedish band with a significant and political expression. Thereafter he was responsible for noisy escapades in the project Peace, Love & Pitbulls, and lately he has released a number of solo records with both introvert and extrovert views.

Thåström takes stock of nostalgia on his latest album Skebokvarnsv. 209 as he looks back on his adolescent years in Stockholm. It is an album showing Thåström in absolutely great shape that has swept all reviewers off their feet. The movement from punk legionnaire to singer-songwriter is long and impressive.

HEADLINERS IGGY POP & THE STOOGES AND SONIC YOUTH!

NEW SITE: BUTLINS IN MINEHEAD!

United Sounds of ATP is completely sold out but we are pleased to reveal that Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth and founder of the Ecstatic Peace label is set to curate this years Nightmare Before Christmas to take place on December 8th – 10th. Headlining the weekend will be Iggy and The Stooges and Sonic Youth! Tickets on-sale on Friday 7th April at 9:00am.

We would also like to announce that this years Nightmare Before Christmas event is to be held at a brand new site, Butlins Holiday Camp in Minehead. Due to the specifications of the new accommodation, there will now be two prices for the tickets, £115 for Room Only accommodation and £135 for Self Catering accommodation both of which include free electricity. 2 and 3 berth rooms will be available for the first time.

Butlins Minehead looks out across a superb sandy beach. The new site not only has a supermarket, newsagent and cash points, it also has Burger King, Pizza Hut, Finnigan’s fish and chips, Sun and Moon, Skyline Café and Yacht Club Dining room. Onsite facilities include a cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a huge wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.

Room Only accommodation is available in 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 berths and offers either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge, more like a hotel room. (£115 + booking fee per ticket)

Self Catering accommodation is available in 4, 6 or 7 berths and offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV. (£135 + booking fee per ticket)

All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. Ticket includes performances starting from mid-afternoon, with around 50 acts set to play live across the weekend. There are four pubs and DJ sets through till late, plus three nights in a self-catering chalet or room only accommodation all with private bathroom suites and TV’s.

Butlins Holiday Camp Minehead, Somerset , TA24 5SH is located near Glastonbury.

By road
Heading north the simplest route is to take the M5 to Taunton (Junction 25), then take the A358 and A39 to Minehead. Heading south on the M5, you can follow the signposts for the A39 from junction 24. Butlins Minehead Holiday Camp is just half a mile along the seafront road from Minehead town centre.

By train or rail
If you are travelling by train, the nearest main line station to Minehead is Taunton. A bus transfer service is operated by Southern National between Taunton Station and Minehead. This service is available at an additional cost. On Mondays to Saturdays, there's approximately an hourly service, with the last bus leaving Taunton Railway Station at
10:15 pm. On Sundays and Bank Holidays services run every 2 hours from 9:35 am - 9:35 pm. For general information call Southern National on 01823 272033. Please note that National Express coaches stop inside the main entrance.

Tickets for All Tomorrow’s Parties, Nightmare Before Christmas can be purchased directly through www.atpfestival.com and are available in blocks of 2,3,4,5 or 6 Room Only accommodation and 4, 6 or 7 berth Self Catering accommodation.
