Hip hop with a spark
Two edgy hip hop acts are added to the Roskilde '06 programme: pioneering artist Pharoahe Monch and upcoming duo Up Hygh.
This year's hip hop profile at Roskilde Festival is further sharpened with the addition of Pharoahe Monch (US) and Up Hygh (S).
Pharoahe Monch is a confident and headstrong rapper with a repertoire that speaks loud and clearly. Along with Prince Poetry, he fronted legendary underground act Organized Konfusion. But Pharoahe Monch also works well on his own.
Pharoahe Monch released his critically acclaimed solo debut Internal Affairs in 1999, containing the track "Simon Says," his biggest hit to date. His follow-up Desire has already started quite a buzz - despite the fact that it has not even been released yet. Lots of major labels have offered to release it, and it will not be long before all expectations are fulfilled. Also at Roskilde Festival which is among the first places where you can hear the brand new sounds from one of the most exciting hip hop exponents.
Up Hygh is a Swedish duo with Detroit soul in their bloodstream. The two young lads, Pure P and Rick Skizzo, produce a self-assured mixture of raw hip hop, groovy funk and soulful R'n'B. The debut album, The Venus Album, came out earlier this year and it shows a forward-looking and youthful experience with music history on the turntables. How hygh? So hygh that I can kiss the sky!
Nordic by Nature
Up Hygh is the final name in a row of promising and upcoming Nordic hip hop acts presented by Roskilde Festival under the headline "Nordic by Nature." For the fourth year in a row, Nordic by Nature focuses on the sprouting hip hop genre. This year we present the following four acts in one slot at the Pavilion Junior stage:Chris Lee (N) / Nemo (DK) / Pede B (DK) / Up Hygh (S)

De los mejor del panorama catalán actual para mí sí.Esperaba que este año fuera un poco difernete… pero bueno... de lo que conozco no me gusta nada facto de la fe... les vi una vez y no me gustaron nada... no se si aun siguen tirando confetis mientras hacen hip hop... no se... un poco raro todo... y bueno... luego hay cosas que estan bien... pero eso de irse hasta arbucies... no se... se tiene que hablarlo...

Yo estuve el año pasado en el poparb y nos lo pasamos de muerte. Muy recomendable hacer un viajecito a Arbúcies…

Llegué a eso de las 20:00 y me perdí alguna actuación pero me lo pasé en grande y ver esos conciertos en diferentes ricnones del pueblo le da un toque muy especial. -

Los próximos días 14 y 15 de julio se celebrará en El Ejido (Almería) el Natural Music Festival, en una explanada frente al Castillo de Guardias Viejas. Entre los grupos que participarán figuran Guns N`Roses, Placebo, Pretenders, Los Planetas, Ladytron y Rinocerose, entre otros, aunque aún quedan nuevos nombres por anunciarse.
Los abonos del festival se pondrán a la venta a comienzos de junio con un precio inicial de 90 euros. Las entradas para cada día costarán 50 euros.

pues alguno e ellos (por no decir casi todos), se podrian quedar a recoger fruta, aprovechando que están allí. Seguro que a Axl Rose le sentaria bien un poco de ejercicio.
