Anyone else get serious foot pain after long festival days?
-
Went to a multi-day music festival last year (not Primavera, but similar vibe) and honestly didn’t think much about footwear… big mistake.
By day 2, my heels were killing me, and by day 3 I could barely stand during sets. I thought it was just normal soreness from walking a lot, but it actually turned into proper heel pain that lasted weeks after.
Ended up seeing a podiatrist Perth when I got back (I travel between places a bit), and they told me it was early plantar fasciitis from long hours on hard ground + bad shoes.
Since then I’ve changed a few things for festivals:
- Proper cushioned shoes (not just “cool looking” ones)
- Switching footwear between days
- Taking short sitting breaks even if it means missing part of a set
- Stretching calves/feet in the morning (sounds boring but helps a lot)
Sounds simple, but it made a huge difference. Just sharing in case anyone here is planning long festival days — your feet will thank you later 😅
