The Grid es el proyecto embrión de Dave Ball con Richard Norris desde que el primero dejará Soft Cell, llevan ya con este 4 discos a sus espaldas, y puedo asegurar que se trata de música electrónica de primera clase, y probablemente este sea su mejor album.
Lo que empezó mas como una aventura se consolido con su anterior "Evolver" y con este trabajo.Saludos!!

Producer and former musician Nicolas Vernhes, owner of Rare Book Room Studio in Brooklyn, NY, has created a compilation as beautiful as it is strange. The two-disc Living Bridge is the first release by Vernhes’ fledgling record label Rare Book Room Records, and all of the music, except for the Silver Jews’ brilliant “Self Ignition,” was recorded specifically for this compilation.
A first time compilation that includes two CDs may seem like a bit much, even a tad ambitious, but all 25 of these rare and unreleased tracks are breathtaking in their guttural howls, whispers, and transitions from lovely, lilting music to crashing drums and thumping bass. Some of the stand out tracks include “I’m your Eagle Kisser” by Avey Tare, a member of the insane and wonderful band Animal Collective, and Deerhunter’s “After Class.” And Charles Gansa’s beautiful “Charlene” is worth the price of the album alone. If you are at all interested in music that is in no way conventional, boring, or safe, I suggest giving the Living Bridge compilation a long and detailed listen.

It'd be really appreciated if you don't upload Low Point releases that are currently still in print (in this particular case, the new Strategy EP which has only been on sale for less than three weeks)
As Low Point is a micro label and cottage industry, every sale counts towards meeting the costs of the release. I feel that allowing people to download the entire album/cd/cdr for free on current releases takes sales away from both the label and the artist (who shares 50% of any profits) and makes my life a heck of a lot harder when trying to generate sales.
Once it has sold out, then feel free to distribute!

joder, otro… este tío al menos no es un cavernícola, pero sigue pareciéndome absurdo. como decía jösexiu, no me compraré jamás un disco que no haya escuchado antes. con la cantidad de novedades que salen y la cantidad de discos que quiero comprar lo último que voy a hacer con mi dinero es jugar a la ruleta.
intentaré pillar el ep con soulseek porque no fuí rápido y me interesaba.

Yo estube a punto de bajarmelos pero al final tampoco lo hice. Yo de ti a estos enjendros no los buscaba por ningun lado, que se compren ellos sus discos y que se autopromocionen …...si es que pueden.....estos diosecillos

Cuando lo postee ya me avisaron de que Gareth (Hardwick también hace musica el chico) se pasaba por el foro a menudo (supongo que sus discos se bajará). Aunque como habéis podido comprobar lo pide con buenos modos y en mi opinión él está en su derecho de decidir que hacer con la música que editan. Yo no comparto su postura pero la acepto.
Eso sí, mañana te lo subo de nuevo y te lo paso por privado
Es que comprar discos sin escuchar es algo que se puede hacer con muy pocos grupos. -

sabiendo que un grupo como weezer pudo enlazar un discazo como 'pinkerton' con el infame 'green album', yo lo de comprar a ciegas no lo hago con nadie.
por cierto, ahora mismo estoy escuchando por primera vez el disco de disfear y mata. a la sombra de motörhead, pero madre mía cómo zumban. no pongo el enlace directo porque con un ben&bruno diario ya está bien.

"Jewels" is a concept album with 15 songs some of which were originally available only as monthly download gifts to the supporters of the third phase of the project Neubauten.org. The band then sought out Blixa Bargeld to help with a new developmental process.
They invented a card game as a navigation system. Each one was a cryptic reference to elements of the new work since 1980: tools, materials and structures, with reference to verse or chorus, intro and outro, social relations and alliances: Who with whom? Who what and with what speed and attitude? The result was a kind of chance music: the Jewels.
The CD comes in a special Eco-book packaging with a 40-page booklet, song texts in German and English and the 40-minute film Acht Lösungen (Eight solutions). Released on Potomak and available May 13th, 2008!
