creo que el que se puso fue el anterior y en otro hilo, el de conciertos ya que en un principio tenían que ir a gerona, pero al final na de na… a mi m'encantan pero me quedo con su debut, es mágico... espero verlas en el tanned tin!

Ahora son numerosas las guitarras de indie-rock americano, Michel sigue exhibiendo su talento y habilidad al sampler, los fraseos siguen siendo incisivos y vuelven a demostrar ausencia de prejuicios en cuanto a sonidos … pero me gustan verdaderamente tan sólo 4 ó 5 temas, los demás me sobran
quién lo diría, con la marcha de Widy se han vuelto más guitarreros…
el comienzo del disco es esperanzador con esos cuatro primeros temas (sobre todo la 2,3 y 4) pero según avanza se esfuma la inspiración.
aún no lo he acabado de asimilar pero esto me huele a decepción. -

el disco de weezer empieza realmente bien y luego pierde bastante fuelle. yo estoy bastante enganchado al single "porks and beans" desde que pelukini colgó el clip en la sección de youtubes (muy grande, por cierto) y el único disco que me gusta de ellos -aparte de este último- es el azul.
tengo la sospecha que los dos últimos temas del disco no son de ellos, porque la voz no se parece en nada a la de San Rivers, patrón de las gordacas con gafas -

Crystal Stilts - Crystal Stilts [2008]

The Crystal Stilts are moody-sounding fuckers who make fabulous stripped-down garage-pop. Their mix-and-match post-punk ditties manage to sound both affected and effective at the same time; they’re weirdly life-affirming and very fun. You want to dance when you hear them– dance with a furrowed brow, maybe, but move around nonetheless. Singer Brad Hargett is from Brooklyn by way of Florida but sounds like he’s from Manchester by way of Slough. The main thing I wonder when I listen to Crystal Stilts is why is it so hard to make exceptional garage-pop like this? I mean, how hard can it be to plonk out a little la-la-loo-lee number on your $80 Sears guitar or your beat-up Casio and then record the thing in the bathroom in one take? It’s been stated in ways both eloquent (David Fair’s brilliant and oft-quoted manifesto “How to Play Guitar”) and cheesy as heck (Bono’s “three chords and the truth” which he lifted from Harland Howard re: Hank Williams), but should it not by definition be simple to do this?
