Fabulous Diamonds - Fabulous Diamonds (Siltbreeze, 2008)

@3i09r3i9:
Adorably known to friends and family in Australia as Jarrod and Nisa, The Fabulous Diamonds' beguiling truck is a mesmerizing mix of synth, dub, and percussion, woven around honey-ache vocal stylings recalling (in spirit) past Aussie noisemakers Scattered Order or Makers Of The Dead Travel Fast, as well as those of Augustus Pablo, Young Marble Giants, and Suicide.
. Their one previous release was a 7-inch co-released by Nervous Jerk and Misteltone, and it garnered praise from the Blogosphere and a smattering of airplay on discerning freeform radio stations around the US. This LP on Siltbreeze has been in the works for the better part of a year; its release coincides their first American tour (along with Siltbreeze labelmates, Psychedelic Horseshit).http://www.mediafire.com/?dyy2m3t01cg -

Sam Goldberg (Emeralds) - Echoing Department
@1g6z5c9u:
New solo CD-R from Emeralds associate Sam Goldberg on Steve from Emeralds own label. More luminous guitar and keyboard ala Popul Vuh. Steve also plays synth on a track.

Tracklist:
01. Nylon
02. New England
03. Paying For Your Funeral
04. Wren
05. “Motherfucker! It’s Alive and It’s Bleeding!”
06. Rebirth (hidden track - Long Distance Runner)The soon-to-be Leeds, UK based 4-piece released their well-received debut single ‘A Moment of Clarity’ on Gizeh back in October 2007 alongside a string of dates with Beggars Banquet new-boys iLiKETRAiNS. The band centres around a core of 4 in Thom Corah, Michael Love, Tom Morris and Adam Weikert but is often expanded for live shows to include David Dhonau(Cello) and Sophie Barnes of The Rosie Taylor Project (Trumpet). This recording features the string section of The Monroe Transfer on ‘New England’.
The fury spewed forth throughout the closing stages of live-favourite ‘New England’ – complete with a quite epic string section – pulls this mini-album to its loudest and heaviest moment.
‘Wren’ brings to mind the tranquility of an early Low record as it weaves through some quite beautiful chord changes with David Dhonau’s Cello for company. As the record starts to draw to a close ’Motherfucker! It’s Alive and It’s Bleeding’ ties together the themes and lyrics of the other songs into a desperate, wailing closing of “We’re all over the place!” and it feels as though breath has left you for a better place. As tape meters crackle a sparse piano rises into view, a delicate vocal comes and goes in a fleeting moment and your breath returns.
There is even room for a hidden-track in ‘Long Distance Runner’, an old song dug from the ground to again see the light of day.‘The Heritage’ is Her Name is Calla’s second release for Gizeh and it is a much darker and harrowing affair. Self-recorded and produced by the band it appears to open up a deeper and more turbulent mind-set. The opener ‘Nylon’ creeps in and as the line “I asked around the towns and schools but no-one had seen you in years” launches forward this record has your full attention.
This is Her Name is Calla’s send off before returning home with their long-awaited debut full length in early 2009. My suggestion is that you should hang on to their coat-tails while you can.
‘Calla play two sold-out Scottish shows with The Twilight Sad at the end of March before going on a UK jaunt of their own in April.
Espero no bend a brunear, he escuchado el myspace por encima no está mal, a ver qué tal

Oneida - Preteen Weaponry
http://www.shareonall.com/nd-PrtnWpnr_hrnn_zip.htm ``` @2pulwn3g: > This is part one of the "Thank Your Parents" triptych of Oneida releases. > > "Preteen Weaponry", itself, has three parts and is meant to be listened to at once (in order). It is almost entirely instrumental. Each part was recorded at different times and in different states of mind, but all on the same day. > > Oneida members past, present and future all contributed to this project. > > It reminds Oneida of what a live performance might sound like. It contains captured improvisational moments married with craft. > > Oneida have worked on this song off and on for the last three years. > > You can consider it an introduction to their forthcoming triple album "Rated O", which is part two of the fore-mentioned triptych (to be released by Jagjaguwar in early 2009). -

@1go3lzpt:
If you're going to make highly produced pop, you might as well work with Mitch Easter. And oh yeah, why not get Trevor Kampmann (aka hollAnd) to master the songs? With folks like that helping out, The Baskervilles just needed to show up. And did they ever. Brought into this world as a now-scrapped Swedish EP, they began releasing a song a month on their website in September of 2006 and they're still it at with two months to go. They call the project Twilight 14.
A lot of these songs have the heart of post-Howdy! Teenage Fanclub with the production values of a High Llamas record. Not cold, but certainly bouncy.

Lo de Fleet Foxes es la demo, se publicó hace tiempo por aquí.
Spokane cumplen 9 años y lo celebran con un A Small Commotion, un recorrido por su discografía que se puede descargar gratis desde aquí:

Scorces - Dreamers Of Decadence (Volcanic Tongue, 2008)
@2crjem0s:
Even though Scorces haven’t dropped a record in the last four or so years, it feels like they’ve been gone a lot longer. Neither Christina Carter nor Heather Leigh Murray’s solo or other main band work (Charalambides or Taurpis Tula) work sounds explicitly like Scorces; this union brings something transformed from both players. Collaborating to form some kind of seraphim hybrid, Carter on guitar and Murray on pedal steel, their music is a stretched precious metal – the interlacing of decelerated underwater lovers. Too alive to be smothered by drone comparisons, Scorces blend askew notes that widen and engulf like gluey flourishes of glue. Where Murray and Carter’s music is often filigreed with sounds that can seem location specific, somehow linking back to Texas through unconscious markers, the Scorces sound is more linked to wholly different types of states. The lo-fi warmth captured in up in late 2007 Northampton, Massachusetts adds to the erstwhile reality vibe without sacrificing any of tonal work. The closest possible link for ‘Dreamers of Decadence’ to something based in reality would be some early black and white film soundtrack scorched, loosened and queasied-up. At points Carter takes in great swipes and running drags along the guitar, Murray too pushes the note’s length till the physical borders of her instrument. This is a record unfathomable enough to soak in. 10/10
