Creo que os teneis que fijar más en las últimas obras de David Byrne para valorarlo y olvidaros de Eno. Vamos, es un disco de Byrne producido, y compuesto en parte, por Eno. Ná más.

Por cierto también toca el "frame drum solo" ¿? Robert Wyatt en Strange overtones.

All The Way, the debut full-length from Growing on The Social Registry, concludes a epic trip. Through six tracks Kevin Doria and Joe DeNardo continue the conceptual arc initiated on their 2006 album, Color Wheel. If we still bought into genres, we would say that this record finally achieves a perfect balance of noise and pop, yet what we can say is that you’ll potentially hum melodies long after your headphones are out. Recorded by Barry London at his Ocropolis Studio during the 2007-08 winter, All The Way sounds like some sort of frozen urban chaos taking place at a superclub on another planet. Opener “Green Flag” sets the record’s tone. Instead of keeping the form free, a crunchy guitar texture oscillates through a drum machine, setting a distinct and danceable rhythm that forms the foundation for tone bubbles to peel off the edges of your speakers. The next track, “Wrong Ride,” might remind the
listener of a never-ending roller coaster ascent – mixing subtle dub elements with interweaving sound sculptures reminiscent of The Field. “Lens Around” continues to touch on abstract, whip-like dance rhythms in a refreshing organic context as the propulsive low-end mixes with a watery, melodic lead. “Rave Pie Only” takes the band’s percussive exploration to its extreme – sounding akin to Total Life (solo project of Kevin Doria). The track throbs with a four-to-the-floor pulse that could conceivably stun listeners with how far the band has come from their fluid beginnings. In a year with The Social Registry, the band has released a killer seven-inch single and the mini-album Lateral – all while fuzzing-out faces across Europe with Japanese noise-kings, Boris. All The Way is the perfect culmination of this journey. It blows records of its ilk out of the water, and shows just how
lazy and dogmatic the clones of bands like Growing have become.

¡me encantan tussle! en el par de escuchas que le he pegado nada más descargarlo, el nuevo disco no pinta nada mal. suenan un poco menos físicos que de costumbre, parece que lo electrónico gana un poco más de peso, pero siguen sudando la camiseta como campeones. ¡gracias, toxinho!

no se como sonaran en disco, pero el directo es de lo más lamentable, fueron los teloneros de Boris aquí y a la canción y media todo el mundo se había ido a la terracita a fumar, tomarse algo, charlar o cualquier otra cosa menos escucharlos.

Mac Blackout (miembro de The Functional Blackouts y Daily Void) solito con su portatil , guitarra y algunos cacharritos ha hecho una macarrada de mucho cuidado, synth punk, Garage, Shit gazer, Glam, de todo hay en este disco, con un estilo muy personal y de estar por casa… abre la mente y entra en el mundo de Mac Blackout donde Chrome, Joy Division, Suicide y el Bowie más Glam se entrecruzan por el camino… saliendo un truño "bonito" que se llama Mac Blackout... a bajar!

Si te gustan Blank Dogs, Factums, Chrome, Jay Reatard seguramente te gustará a mi mucho…

**DILEMA MORAL PARA LOS MIEMBROS DEL FORO

No sé si todos han seguido las noticias sobre lo sucedido con Bradford Cox. En resumen: tenía las versiones sin masterizar de Weird Era Cont (el EP que acompañaría el lanzamiento físico de Microcastle de Deerhunter) así como Logos (el nuevo LP de Atlas Sound que se otorgaría gratis por su blog) subidas en mediafire y sin proteger. En eso un tío entra como juan por su casa y los baja. 5 minutos después están por todos lados. Me sorprende que no hayan asomado por aquí.

Los acabo de bajar y he de admitir que me sentí un poco mal. Sólo tienen que leer las decalaraciones de Cox. Pero la verdad que están increíbles. Sobre todo el Logos.

¿Qué dicen? ¿Los deberíamos de compartir?
