Nos inventamos una especie de mini-habitación dentro de un cuarto grande con unos sillones para aislar las tomas de Aleix y siempre teníamos un micro de ambiente para conseguir reverbs naturales. > > Luego viajamos a Camprodón. Allí terminamos las voces dentro de una iglesia y comí las mejores anchoas que he probado en mi vida. Hacía mucho frío dentro y se puede escuchar bastante de ese aire en el disco. La comida que llevó Aleix nos hacía tomar todo con buen humor. Aún así no paraba de echarles bronca para que fueran rápido y probamos algunos coros que al final se quedaron en el disco. > > Pasó bastante tiempo y un día volvimos al estudio de la calle Ros de Olano. Allí se completó la grabación con 5 o 6 canciones y la mezcla que fue muy divertida porque teníamos sonidos de un montón de habitaciones diferentes. Aprendí muchísimo y gracias a Alba y Aleix comencé a investigar y apreciar la música catalana más allá de Serrat, Sisa o Pau Riba. Os lo recomiendo de verdad, yo lo escucho mucho por la noche! -
Library Tapes - A Summer Beneath The Trees

A Summer Beneath the Trees is still pretty ascetic, but by Wenngren's usual standards, it's practically Wagner. A lot of the credit for this newfound mass is due to Peter Broderick (who also played on the superlative Fragment EP), a young musician from Portland who worked as a session man with M. Ward, Zooey Deschanel, and others, before moving to Copenhagen to join Efterklang. Here, Broderick complements Wenngren's piano with a wide variety of accompaniment: violin, guitar, accordion, trumpet, celesta, viola, and banjo. Höstluft and Fragment were almost accidental music– like walking by a house and catching a couple minutes of someone picking out a melody on a beat-up old upright inside. This is the fullest, most finished-sounding Library Tapes project since it was an official duo (with Per Jardsell), and may suit listeners who need more than a few endlessly revolving piano notes better than recent offerings. For fans of Max Richter, Tim Hecker, and Eluvium, A Summer Beneath the Tress is a can't-miss album.

Taking the name from an experience they’d had playing at the wedding of two ultra-rich aristocrats in Rome, and musical inspiration from “Say you don’t mind” by ex-Zombies singer Colin Blunstone and the Balanescu’s super-cool orchestral covers of Krafwerk, James De Malplaquet and Will Calderbank decided to form The Miserable Rich - a chamber quintet to play their modern songs.
Recording as they developed their sound, the pair recruited fellow Shoreliner Mike Siddell (Lightspeed Champion, Kate Walsh, ex-Hope of the States) on violin, Lindsey Oliver (Kate Walsh, the Mummers) on double-bass, and Jim Briffett (Clearlake) on guitar.
