  • Piano Magic - Dark Horses EP

    http://rapidshare.com/files/161237859/Glumi.rar

    @1du25ijj:

    Piano Magic team up with Make Mine Music for a new EP that's a bit of a departure for both parties. Renowned for its discerning ambient and post-rock output, the MMM label makes a bold venture into new-wave influenced pop music, something that Piano Magic themselves have barely hinted at in the past. "Dark Horses" itself launches into a dystopian Joy Division-inspired aesthetic (not in a dreadful Editors-style fashion though), with an accurately rendered '80s coldness to it. Next comes the more pensive "Stations", guided by icy guitar twang and atmospheric reverberating production, switching style in time for "Vacancies", which retains much of the darkness whilst adding a slight flavour of C86 influenced indie. Finally, "A Book I Should Not Read" emphasises gloomy, borderline industrial/goth sounds with a stumbling drum pattern and a suspenseful, eerie line in melodies spun from what sounds hammered dulcimer - it's a really neat little EP this, so let's hope there's more to come in this vein.

    Si peta el enlace mañana lo subo otra vez, si no me he cortado las venas.
    Estoy hasta arriba de curro y muuuuuuuuuuuy agobiao.

    > 5 new tracks from this wonderful electro-pop duo! After a sold out Cloudberry 3" single Johan and Mikko embarked into a new trip where melancholy meets happiness, where elegance meets dancey beats and wet Wednesday afternoons meet Sunny Sundays on the beach.

    El segundo creo que va en la onda de vampire weekend (tampoco me hagais mucho caso por que no lo he oído), por los ritmos africanos que se suponen que incorporan a sus canciones.

    > At one instant you’re at a soda fountain, surrounded by day-glo hues and crew-cuts and glowing jukeboxes. Next thing you know, you taste the scorching air of a Jamaican shantytown and start bobbing to a reggae ballad. Or you could be dancing in the streets to jangly rhythms, with the alluring grooves and hard hooks of r&b or classic 60’s pop. There may be a lot of screaming. There may be a lot of crooning. It could be romantic, it could be dark.
    >
    > Prussia, on their debut full length, hits pure pop elegance with subtly primal energy, with head-scratching grins and casual shrugs towards any preconceived domains of suburban white indie rockers. It’s tribal pop, with a crackly, starry-night classicism.
    >
    > The local quartet enthusiastically delves into soulful pop and roots reggae, transposing a refreshing timelessness onto this nihilistic technological age, with Morrissey-esque sonnets sung in raspy Drifters-esque high-range vocals and Four Seasons oh-OH-oh melodic refrains, over bounce-to-groove Jamerson-inspired bass lines, with intricate and inventive percussion spawned from Talking Heads’ art-punkified take on the Afro-Cuban allure.

    Ala, os dejo que tengo que seguir trabajando si quiero ir al Tanned Tin. Saludos

  • Chop Chop - Screens (2008)

    @3vlxy8ey:

    Screens is the name of the Chop Chop’s new album. Like its predecessor, the songs combine pop, rock, and electronica, with influences ranging from the 1930s to the Bee Gees to Run DMC. This time around, quaintly analog instruments like the French horn, keymonica, and toy Zylophone have been tossed into the mix alongside cranky, craggy digital synthesizers and electric guitars, comparing the unintentional quirks of live sound and the consciously manipulated quirks of digital midi sound. Screens will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you dance, it will haunt you and mysteriously force its way to the beginning of your iPod shuffle queue.

    éste está muy, muy bien, y os lo digo yo, que no me considero aficionado al hip-hop ni al rap. Versos a ritmo de metralleta y base electrónica de hielo. Grande.

  • Danielson - Trying Hartz

    @23regg63:

    "Utilizing carpenter metaphors, coordinated costumes, childlike glee, Boy Scout ethics, and the his constant familial unit, Dan Smith tackles sex, potty mouths, television, death, and judgment over the course of Trying Hartz’s two discs. Noted underground engineers Steve Albini and Kramer assist, ensuring the sonics are always as interesting as Smith’s detailed missives. Without the musical ingenuity of the band, it’s doubtful that we’d be discussing much. We’re talking about a band that’s tied together loose strings from all over the weirdo pop world, uniting Anticon dudes, Soul-Junk, Stevens, and Deerhoof, and serving as a centerpiece for the Sounds Familyre label, which releases much of the most far-out and creative Christian music available.

    Ships, Danielson’s 2006 album, reconciled all of the previous Danielson projects into one unified whole and stood as an art-prog juggernaut. Trying Hartz proves that, while the preceding years may not have been as coherent, the basis for all of that album’s success have always been present in his work. While “greatest hits” and the like are often useless pieces of memorabilia, Trying Hartz works as either an excellent starting point for Danielson or the perfectly paced next step for someone getting acquainted with the work of Daniel Smith and his musical family."
