Monade - Monstre Cosmic

Monade began as a bedroom recording solo project for Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier earlier this decade, but it has evolved into a full-fledged band who will release Monstre Cosmic via Too Pure on Feb. 19.

Singer/multi-instrumentalist Sadier is joined on the third Monade album by bassist/vocalist Marie Merlet, keyboardist Nicolas Etienne and drummer Xavier Chabellard. This release follows 2003's Socialisme Ou Barbarie and 2005's A Few Steps More.

Monstre Cosmic was recorded at Stereolab's Instant Zero studio near Bordeaux, Fance. "Elle Topo" and "Regarde" can be previewed on the group's MySpace page.

Monade have European gigs scheduled over the next six weeks and will support Stereolab on tour for the first time in April and May.

Mi sobrino de 8 años hace mezclas mas técnicas que los Junior Boys, y va en serio. La selección no está mal. Aunque, que ha pasado con la "muerte del minimal"?

¿Qué pinta el minimal aquí?¿Junior boys = Basic Channel? ¡¡Estás flipando!! Eso a lo sumo es Pop electrónico. Sí, con toques del tipo Clicks, Bleeps y la madre que los trajo. Pero en definitiva Pop…
Y mira de paso te contesto: me quedo con una sesión de esas sin técnica pulida(Owens & Junior Boys) pero con "feeling" a una de Tejada o Villalobos. Más que MDMA, lo que hace falta es una caja de Tranquimazines para sobrellevarlas.

Tio, cómo te ofuscas. Ponle la etiqueta que quieras, da igual. Suena minimalista, y en ocasiones con demasiada repetición de loops mas bien vacios. Ni villalobos, ni tejada me hacen gracia, ya lo dije. Y el minimal no es solo basic channel, tio. La serie POP UP de kompakt de hace 6-7 años tb es minimal y no tiene nada que ver con el minimal-dub BC.

El caso es que para hacer una sesión, y sobre todo para difundirla, al menos que tenga algo de tecnica, no mezclas crossfaderianas de 15 segundos como maximo.
