AM is Karl Blau's psych-folk ode to author A.A. Milne (Winnie-the-Pooh). It was conceived when Blau made some early morning dates with friend Phil Elverum to sip coffee and see what happened in sounds. They used A.A. Milne as a jumping off point and wrote a story about the Night finally walking home to bed and the lovely Day passing by and how they only briefly cross paths. The music of AM may evoke early Byrds, Syd Barrett and Skylarking-era XTC but it is unmistakably Karl Blau – from the swirling guitars of "Lake King's Daughter" to the fuzzed-out pop on "Yellow Sunbonnet" and the tribal yelps of "Noah Richards' Sun". AM is a revelation and it proves itself to be THE landmark album of Karl Blau's solo career.

sí, me ha gustado más POCAHAUNTED, la verdad, y eso que a los INDIAN JEWELRY cuando me los escupe el lastfm los tenía realtivamente en un buen lugar
y me lo estoy bajando, que conste, que hay rayadas que a veces están bien para ayudarte a llevar los días grises

pero no veo que sea depresivo
habla de la muerte y todo lo que rodea el concepto, de como afrontarla, etc etc lo que musicalmente no suena tan depresivo, tampoco es que sea alegre, pero con la promo se han pasado… de todos modos un discazo!!! hay que darle un par de escuchas a lo mejor a la primera no termina de atrapar, pero si que ya ves que hay algo y que quieres más de eso... hempror, grr y gente que le guste Jesu, Alcest, Nadja, Xasthur, Shoegazing... que se lo baje YA!

Amor eterno, Harry! Yo todavía sigo esperando que aparezcan en la siguiente tanda de confirmaciones del PS. El single, eso sí, gira mucho hacia los últimos Modest Mouse, veremos si el resto del disco mantiene el nivel del primero.

En una primera escucha, parece que aguanta el nivel del primero (aunque bueno, es sólo una primera escucha, ya se sabe como van estas cosas…). Eso sí, 'Open Book' huele a hitazo a kilómetros.
