Protegida de David Tibet durante años (en el sello Durtro de Tibet ha venido publicando desde el año 2000 álbumes tan recomendables como “Little Window” (2000) o “Love’s Small Song” (2002), recopilados ambos el pasado año en el doble CD “The Robin’s Tiny Throat”), y en los últimos tiempos más conocida gracias a su paso por las formaciones de Antony & The Johnsons o los mismos Current 93, la artista de performance, pianista y arpista clásica (entre muchas otras cosas) Baby Dee fichaba recientemente por Drag City, y con la colaboración de músicos amigos como Will Oldham, Andrew W.K., Robbie Lee, Max Moston (Antony and the Johnsons), Bill Breeze (Psychic TV), John Contreras (Current 93), James Lo (Chavez) grababa un nuevo álbum, “Safe Inside The Day”, que verá la luz en el sello de Chicago el próximo 22 de enero.

Jason Collett - Here´s to Being Here

Here's To Being Here captures the essence of Jason's live performances and features the energy and musicianship of his touring band, Paso Mino. "This is very much an old school guitar record, in the sense of it being very tasteful...that's one of the greater accomplishments of this record" says Collett, "recording in bigger spaces and live off the floor allowed us to capture some of the band energy. This allowed for spontaneous creations, which led to many wonderful little accidents."
Here's To Being Here was recorded and produced in Collett's hometown of Toronto, Ontario, by musician/producer Howie Beck. The album also features guest performances by fellow Broken Social Scene member and Apostle of Hustle front man Andrew Whiteman, as well as long time friend Tony Scherr (Norah Jones, John Scofield, Bill Frissell) and Liam O'Neil (The Stills) to name a few.
Está visto que los canadienses se aburren mucho que sacan discos como churros al igual que los suecos.

lo que nose, es raro, te tienes como de registrar para acceder a la descarga a un servicio llamado multiply, coñazo... yo de momento no me he registrado seguro que unas horas lo cuelgan en otro sitio...

los radar bros. tienen un rollo que debería horripilarme (indie amable y nostálgico que le pone morritos al folk y a la americana), pero misteriosamente me enganchan.
nota 1: merge es un sello de cancionacas.
nota 2: con sparklehorse sí que no puedo.

Born in Bloomington, Indiana, AUSTIN LUCAS was taught how to sing by his musician father Robert Lucas before he could even speak. At home or in the car, his family would sing and make music, traveling during the summer months to folk, bluegrass, and old-time music festivals where his father would perform every year. As Austin became old enough to attend school, he also attended the Indiana University Children's Choir to hone his gift of singing. In spite of working under the program for 6 years - performing in 3 operas and dozens of classical choral pieces - he never learned to love or appreciate his studies until much later in his life. At 12, Austin removed himself from the choir in search of louder and faster music, and it was in the punk and hardcore scene where Austin found himself and has remained for the last 16 years. Having played in crust and grind bands such as RUNE and TWENTYTHIRD CHAPTER, as well as technical punk outfit K10 PROSPECT, Austin currently lives in Prahg, Czech Republic and splits his time touring solo and playing guitar in the Orc-core Crust band GUIDED CRADLE. However, as many will infinitely attest, it is truly Austin's skillful and soulful homage to his country and bluegrass roots that leave all listening audiences haunted with a stirring sense of amazement. "Putting The Hammer Down" is Austin's North American debut for Magic Bullet Records. On it, you'll find 8 songs harkening the rich heritage and tradition of great American country and folk music past, rounded out by the strong DIY ethic and punk progressiveness that played a large part in shaping both artist and label over the years. In the end, you're left with an album that reaches across generational and genre lines in a way that few artists could ever dream of or hope for.

alguien ha encontrado el women as lovers de xiu xiu decente?no lo veo por ningun lado.le tengo muchas ganas y ni siquiera he podido escuchar el de 96kbps porque me pone que el archivo esta corrupto..argh!
