No soy nada optimista, aunque es cierto que los del Klubbers (que creo que son los que lo montan) llevaban siempre cosas molonas, del público, personal de seguridad, etc...prefiero no opinar.

No me había leído todavía la entrevista a Torn Hawk que le hicieron en Pitchfork y me he enamorado (todavía mas) cuando dice que de adolescente era fan de Sonic Youth y que todo el rollo de guitarras con texturas empezó ahí. Y me he dado cuenta que esa es la conexión emocional que tengo con este tipo. No la veía por lo sutil, pero sentía que había algo bastante profundo en su sonido que me dejaba k.o. No veo la hora que llegue el día de verlo.

@3d1wzhh4:Max McFerren has long been a staple of Brooklyn and Chinatown’s lofts and club spaces at particularly late hours with his playful but muscular take on techno, but this is the first glimpse into the unadorned but texturally luxurious MCFERRDOG project. Jacked on twisted optimism and Power 105.7 bombastics, “Club Amniotics” toes extremes of fantastical, bubbly weird-as-I-wanna-be experiments and a hugely emotive, open-spaced club vernacular.
Whether goofing off into circus EDM and kaleidoscopic, elasticated techno or hitting ultra-sincere emotions and straight up euphoria, MCFERRDOG is totally uninhibited in this pre-subjective, pre-club ego-forming sphere. Fantasizing an alt Panorama Bar culture, particularly sportive bouncers like “Thesaurus Mode” ride a clearer techno tempo, processing jumped up club signifiers into a super melodic ASMR love story. Mutated neo-rave sensations rise off of the title track (one of the c38s more sensual moments) whereas the stop-start funk of “Rosewater” or slightly drunker “Vulgar Physics” is bouncy and straight up weird.
This dual mind might go some ways to explain McFerren’s interactions with the likes of DJ Richard and Young Male at the same time as playing warehouses with acid freaks like Gobby and Physical Therapy. MCFERRDOG’s strokes are broad; tapping into the threshold of a good idea and reopening recent youth with post-ironic realness and notions of unbridled imagination, fantasy and new age.

Death After Life, Thug Entrancer’s debut for Software Recording Co. is a deliberately realized collection of dance experimentation and hybridized electronic music with narrow stylistic precedents. It’s also a gripping, somber tide formed from the gravitational pull of an artist’s amble through unknown turfs.
Ryan McRyhew’s footing as a creative lynchpin in the Denver DIY electronic music scene shuffled to the other world and beat of the South side of Chicago in 2011. McRyhew’s new home allowed him secluded time and space to create in-depth and unconditional music as Thug Entrancer. The move also provided McRyhew direct access to Chicago’s dance music history and the groundbreaking works being crafted in bedrooms and blasted on speakers throughout his neighborhood.

After announcing the imminent arrival of her forthcoming debut album for Hyperdub, rising Brooklyn-based producer Fatima Al Qadiri has officially released the particulars of her Asiatisch LP. The 10-track record is set to land on May 5, and is said to present a "simulated road trip through an imagined China," revolving around "the fantasies of East Asia as refracted through pulpy Western pop culture.” Oddly enough, Asiatisch's opening track "Shanzhai" is a cover of Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U" with "nonsensical Mandarin" lyrics.

Neneh Cherry's first solo album in 16 years – a collaboration with RocketNumberNine, produced by Four Tet, and featuring a guest appearance by Robyn.
While her energy and demeanor may not have changed since the days of Rip Rig + Panic, musically, Blank Project is a departure from anything Neneh has previously done, initially written as a means of working through personal tragedy. What stands out upon first listen is the album’s sparseness: loose drums and a few synthesizers are the only accompaniment to Neneh’s wildly poetic, sometimes-spoken, sometimes-screeching, soul-flooded and raw vocals. The space created by this minimal aesthetic leaves room for occasional pistes and flurries of rapid, yet throbbing and thunderous instrumentation. Featuring combined elements of beat poetry, avant-electronica and beautiful vocal melodies, it’s a record that uses simple ideas to create something entirely original. And despite the personal struggles Neneh was working through in writing this new material, the songs are far from introverted.

En otro orden de cosas, el sabado el Chelis en la sala siroco fue de traca, este hombre cada vez que lo oigo hace una movida diferente , cada vez más mejor.
