del sonar me joderá perderme al maldito jipi de Gaslamp Killer. llevo mil años deseando que venga. no es que innove demasiado, pero el tio es del rollo patear culos a base de breaks de bateria ultra tochos, con rollitos de hip hop electrónico, jipiadas siderales, funk de filetón con sangre, sitares, etc..
No sé, es mi rollo total. Me lo imagino un jueves en el powder room y me sé de unos cuantos colegas que iriamos a hacer stage diving si hace falta.buscad por ahí algunas de sus sesiones que no tienen desperdicio.

Os dejo la nota de prensa.Creo que dará que hablar por la asociación con Elefant y la coincidencia de fechas con el Contempopranea (que para mas inri este año esta dedicado también al sello Elefant)

Hello everyone! We're very, very excited to announce that Scottish pop legends Camera Obscura will be headlining this year's Indietracks, held on 24-26 July, 2009, and tickets are now on sale! The band, who have recently signed to 4AD, are playing the Outdoor Stage, which is this year being curated by seminal indiepop record label Elefant Records as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.
The band will be joined by fellow Glaswegians BMX Bandits, shimmering six-piece Lucky Soul, indie heroes The Frank and Walters, and hotly-tipped Welsh popsters The School. Other bands playing on the Elefant stage over the weekend include La Casa Azul, Cola Jet Set, Cooper, Nick Garrie, Single, Speedmarket Avenue, Tender Trap and Fitness Forever.
Elefant is a Madrid-based record label launched by Luis Calvo in 1989. The staunchly independent label has become internationally renowned for both its championing of cult music heroes such as Trembling Blue Stars and Helen Love, and its Singles Club releases from more established bands such as Cinerama and The Clientele.
Over 50 bands will play Indietracks this year, and a second headliner and more bands will be announced shortly - we can't wait!
This is the third ever Indietracks festival, which is held at the Midland Railway in Ripley, in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside. The site houses a whole range of lovingly restored steam and diesel locomotives. Festival goers are allowed to have unlimited rides on the steam railway over the weekend and full access to other railway attractions including a farm and museum.
Weekend tickets cost £55 and are available from Friday 27 February from Ticketweb or by calling the railway direct on 01773 747 674._

el año pasado ya me dieron ganas de acercarme (ballboy, zebras, comet gan, airport girl,…) pero este año por ahora con lo de elefant, parece que hay grupos más fáciles de ver por aquí

si que me gustan/gustado algunos de los nombrados pero joder casi todos los que has dicho esta bastante vistos, que no es que sean malos, pero joder, recordamos la coletilla que sigue al festival Sónar >> "música avanzada y arte multimedia" a día de hoy ya poco tiene de eso, para hacerte caso con esas confirmaciones…
Areal >> hace 3 años com mínimo que se repite un showcase del sello durante el off-sonar, lauren garnier, richie Hawtin, han sido clásicos desde los primeros años del festival y de tantos otros... Digitalism, Etienne de Crecy viene bastante en el Razz, vale si creo que lo del cubo no lo han hecho, le damos un pase pero joder no vino al summer? y podría seguir... un poco de innovación coñe, cosas que no le pediría a unos monegros, clubbingweekend o como se llame el festi de madrid, pero ostias al Sónar... no.

A dia de hoy el Sonar en sí poco tiene de eso y ya hace varias ediciones que se pasa por el forro ese mantra (mogwai, madness, etc.).

pues que lo quiten! jeje ya, ya lo se, pero siempre se pude repelar algo del de día, interesante, el Sonorama en el Centre d’Art Santa Mònic siempre suele estar bien (cosa que este año creo que ya no existirá, snif snif).

Te cato, pero tampoco hay que obsesionarse tanto con las etiquetas. El Sónar es un festival que nunca acaba defraudando y no se le puede ni comparar con el Klubber´s o Monegros, ya que esos 2 eventos no transforman una ciudad durante una semana como hace el Sónar.
Los carteles de muchas salas son espectaculares y repes a veces también, pero durante esa semana, es casi imposible no darse cuenta de que la música se apodera de todo el ocio nocturno de la ciudad.
Está claro que hay miles de propuestas mucho más "avanzadas" o nerdy, pero yo estaba pensando más en música de baile y cosas que aunque vistas, no siempre son iguales.
Entiendo lo que pides, pero el cartel es grande. Seguro que habrá de todo para satisfacernos a los dos

totalmente de acuerdo, es curioso por que el año pasado donde vi de las cosas más interesantes, y hace 2 casi que también, es más ese año diría que fue cuando vino ryoji ikeda pues fue en el Santa Mònica, donde el precio suelen ser 5 ecus.

si te gustara el cartel lo pagarías y seguro que encantado de la vida.
no creo que si la gente (de aquí) va menos al sonar sea por el precio de las entradas, que tampoco me parece ningun disparate si tenemos en cuenta que su unica fuente de ingresos son las instituciones (que sabemos como son), los sponsors (que este año decis que les han bajado presu y que no tienen un sponsor principal como el PS Estrella Damm - o al revés-) y la venta de entradas (las anticipadas eran mas baratas).
menudo cartelón tendríamos si bajaran el precio de las entradas…

The Swedish national hero plays only one other festival concert in Sweden this summer – otherwise, you need to go to Roskilde Festival to sing and dance along.
LA COKA NOSTRA (US) is a hardcore hip hop super group that draws on members from House of Pain and Non Phixion. Everything suggests that these hooded sultans are not quite satisfied with the turn which current hip hop is taking. La Coka Nostra signifies a raw and uncompromising break with the rosy and well-groomed hip hop on the charts.

Que gracia ver a Hakan Hellstrom… cuando fui a Estocolmo todo eran carteles de él... es mas que un cantante en suecia, es una institución. Creo que es algo fenomeno de masas desde hace muchos años. Era miembro de la banda sueca Border Daniel, otro movimiento de masas... lo he escuchado poco, pero me hace especial gracia que cante en sueco, ya que realmente hay demasiados grupos escandinavos que canten en inglés y a mi me va que los grupos canten en su lengua natal
Amadou and Mariam estaran tambien el 7 de mayo en caceres en el Womad... tambien tienen buena pinta... ideales para el blues and ritmes de Badalona, que me sonaban de haberlos visto en el cartel en alguna que otra edición pero veo que no (o no lo encuentro)

Ostia te sorprenderá si te digo que vi La Coka Nostra en el Pukkelpop 2007 y me gustaron mucho. Muy macarras, pero guay. Habrá versiones de House of Pain seguro.
