With this new release, a split vinyl record with DEAD GHOSTS from Vancouver, Canada and THE SMITH WESTERNS from Chicago, Illinois, this story of success will continue. Both bands are frightening good. So good that it well may be that they may soon be playing in front of bigger audiences. They both took what they found on the long track of garage music, mixed in a lot of noise and distortion and formed a slop/pop gem that you cannot stop listening to. You'll flip the side again and again, to figure out which side is better and you'll never find a winner cause both songs are top notch!

es una mezcla entre AC y Grouper, a mi el debut me ha gustado mucho, pero esto va a gustos.

yo me descargué hace unos meses el Generic, porque había leído que era un disco mítico y tal, a día de hoy aún no lo he escuchado. no suenan mal los temas nuevos. -

Te recomiendo que envíes esa carpeta a la papelera de reciclaje e inviertas el tiempo en comenzar por el GENERIC, sí, pero también el GONE FISHIN'. El primero tal vez es su mejor álbum como conjunto, pero el segundo contiene las que, en mi opinión, son sus tres canciones más logradas:
- the light, the sound, the rhythm, the noise.
- survivors of the plague.
- one by one.
Del recopilatorio SEX BOMB BABY! también te conviene recuperar, al menos, ese gran himno existencialista: falling.
¿Me parece a mí o existe un íntimo lazo entre flipper y eskorbuto?

An intense and dizzying experience, this new collection of works by Californian duo Starving Weirdos arrives on Bo Weavil with a droning density that's at first intimidating. This music is often rather difficult to unravel, and you'll find yourself hopelessly trying to pick out individual instruments among the incendiary clamour, losing your way trying to discern what it is exactly you're listen to. Drifts of primal, atavistic sounds intermingle with more austere droning passages, lurching around in a strangely distant recording scenario that's part-live performance, part- carefully sculpted production. In its most intense moments Into An Energy recalls the battered psychotropic ambiences of Yellow Swans or Hototogisu recordings, but pieces like 'Dawn In The Distance' and 'Ocean Seal Concentration' reveal that this is a band that has more subtle experimental form on its agenda too, rifling through arrhythmic percussive elements and harmonically cohesive passages of sustain.

Por cierto, lo de las Cocorosie, se puede decir que ¿es una broma? cosa más mala, por deus… Se les ha ido la flapa.

Sí, Yo pienso igual con Cocorosie, creo que les ha llegado el momento de reinventarse, su estilo ya no avanza más.
En mi opinión han pasado de hacer grandes cosas como algunos temas del "La mansion de mon reve" o " noah's ark"a aburrirme como una ostra como con "The Adventures Of Ghosthorse & Stillborn" .
