We Were Promised Jetpacks - These Four Walls
Add the Glaswegian four-piece We Were Promised Jetpacks (wicked band
name by the way) to the current craze for the thick Scottish brogue
(see The Twilight Sad, Frightened Rabbit, Glasvegas). Jetpacks formed
in Edinburgh in 2003, where they won over the ears of their classmates
at a high school battle of the bands competition. Their sound recalls
some of the cacophony of Mogwai but doesn't utilize too many fancy
guitar effects or song structures. The pummeling thrum of The Twilight
Sad or the wistful yearning of Frightened Rabbit is brought to mind
again on debut These Four Walls. The quartet is now creating torrential

Broken Records - Until The Earth Begins To Part
Broken Records, who have recently signed to 4AD bring us their debut
album with the label. The Records record, entitled Until The Earth
Begins To Part, is due for release on June 1st, and will be preceded by
a single of the same name on May 11th. The album was recorded during
January at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales, and was produced by Ian

me respondo a mí mismo. he estado buscando info sobre el disco y sí, tocan ricky falkner (standstill), santi y victor garcía (ultramarinos costa brava) y ramón & marc (madee). le estoy dando la primera escucha y no suena nada mal! muy en la línea de sus últimos discos.
