Wye Oak: The Knot
The new album from Baltimore’s Wye Oak will be available on July 21st. The Knot was written and recorded by Andy Stack and Jenn Wasner in their living room. The band started as a basement project with the duo recording demos together and soon expanded to include tours of America and Europe. The NY Times’ Jon Pareles described Wye Oak’s live performance, “Wye Oak segued thoughtful roots-tinged rock into richly overwhelming textural excursions.”
A set of songs that sway, stretch, and scream while always reaching outward for personal connection. As ever, Andy Stack's production layers his own multi-instrumental arrangements over Jenn Wasner's woozy compositions, but musically, too, things sound more precise. Sin venir a cuento con nada en concreto y enmarcado dentro una época rosa, solo expresar mi más solemne agradecimiento a los que por aquí filtran, ya sea lo que sea, desde el más sublime cassette a la más andrajosa edición especial, desde el discazo esperado de nuestra estrella a la basura del último proyecto paralelo de a saber quien es este tío.

The near-absence of the lo-fi field music vibe of Vignetting… and its predecessors, coupled with the introduction of programmed beats and an elaboration in genre references, are the clearest signals of Bibio’s marked change in direction here.
De este me encanta la portada. Aún está sin escuchar así que no se la calidad que tiene, pero lo he visto en algún sitio de torrents así que debería estar bien.
Y este otro creo que será bien recibido después de su anterior disco. Este tiene pinta de estar a 160 kbps por el tamaño del archivo, pero así lo escuchais y sabeis si os lo bajareis cuando esté a mejor calidad.
