    Box Elders - Alice and Friends


    Alice and Friends is the debut LP from this Omaha, Nebraska band. Formed by brothers Clayton and Jeremiah McIntyre, they added a drummer, Dave Goldberg, whose playing style sounds more like a parlor trick than a technique--he plays drums and keyboards at the same time. The band calls its music "cave pop," but the usual venue for such a sound would not be a cave but a garage. They released a single in 2008 and toured with Cursive before signing with Goner Records. The title of their debut may sound cute and sincere, but it’s still thoroughly irreverent and oddball: it's named after the band’s "favorite cult-run vegan Korean BBQ."

    EP de debut de Maurici Ribera A.K.A. The Missing Leech. Una obra de 5 temas inéditos y variados, en su mayoría de antifolk y folk punk, que preceden al disco que saldrá en setiembre; mucho más completo.
    Todos los temas fueron grabados en directo en el estudio y 2 con Anímic como banda de acompañamiento.

    Pues nada, veo que soy el primero en felicitarte por el EP. Me está gustando mucho, tanto por las cuatro canciones como por la producción, que se adapta perfectanente al tipo de canciones. Has conseguido un muy buen equilibrio entre calidad instrumental y ese aire naïf y fresco que tiene tu música. La letra de "This is the story…" muy divertida. "And then back home in Sant Joan I went to record with Anímic in Collbató". Sensacional. Enhorabuena y estaremos esperando el LP creo que para septiembre.

    A ver si el amigo Zackhill puede en breve preparar el suyo.

    Ei, felicitats, Maurici! Però es fa molt curt, a veure si aviat podem sentir-ne més!
    M'agrada molt "This is the story…" amb aquest to confessional i els efectes tipus "Smile".
