Siento poneros al borde del colapso. No es que sea premeditado, pero a medida que voy viendo cosas que puedan resultar interesantes las voy poniendo por aquí, más que nada por que creo que puede haber gente interesada. Además desde que tengo cuenta de What, veo más cosas de lo que debería.
Pelukas, desgraciadamente Andthegüol ha dejado estos lares por una temporada larga. Ahora que ya se ha sacado la plaza de funcionario, la ejerce también en el foro y no da un palo al agua. Además tiene problemas de muerte próxima del ordenador.
Kiototar la Soap&Skin debe hacer algo parecido al Hauschka. Aún no lo he escuchado pero por lo que he leído en internés hace un rollo pianístico oscurete

Básicamente toca el piano y canta. Utiliza otros artilugios, pero el principal es el piano. Música más bien minimalista y melancólica. El disco no está mal, aunque su voz es un poco cansina y, para mi gusto, peca de sonido tenebre-oscuro a lo Evanescent y compañía.

Returning for a sixth album after a decade of recording, Mark Nelson resumes duties as Pan American, once again employing a very human brand of minimalism to his craft, establishing an evocative and exquisitely sombre electro-acoustic sound, fabricated from strands of guitar, electronics, and all manner of subtle nuances that pepper the background with that distinctive… Pan American-ness that made the likes of Quiet City so utterly bewitching. The irregular tremolo and whispered vocal of opening piece 'There Can Be No Thought of Finishing' provides an early highlight and a sense of sonic bliss that's all too quickly shattered, giving way to layers of noisy tones and clattering drums, only to give way to the weightless gestures of 'For Aiming to the Stars', a fine drift-scape buoyed onwards by intermittent root notes played by bass while the pitter-pat of cymbals keeps time. Although less organised, 'Is a Problem to Occupy Generations' manages to weave something beautiful from what seems to be a few wafts of amplifier hiss, giving way to the contrapuntally pristine blues of 'So That No Matter'. Offering an entirely different prospect,'How Much Progress One Makes' sounds like a surreal exchange between Massive Attack, Burial, and Philip Jeck, producing one of the album's most compellingly rhythmic and most arrestingly atmospheric moments. Pan American albums seem to be painfully few and far between, but when one does eventually make it out of the studio the result is something very special indeed.

no lo sientas. la barra libre cultural es uno de los mejores inventos desde los doritos tex mex.

Limited CD-R upgrade for what was originally a Europe-only cassette releases in an edition of 80 copies from the new project of Spencer Clark of The Skaters/Vodka Soap/Monopoly Child et al. Spencer himself describes this as being more drone-focussed and with faster percussion than the recent Monopoly Child sets. The percussion is up-front, with arcs of criss-crossing time signatures generating plenty of phantom space and the combination of trance-informed momentum and bubbling electronic sci-fi tones sounds closest to one of the Sun Ra Arkestra's most future-visioned takes on "Ancient Aethiopia"; while expanding on the classic post-Angus MacLise feel of all of the best Skaters material. Comes in a plastic case with black and white art.

Sí, el de Akron family salía en alguna lista de que iba a aparecer este año. Creo que en la de Pitchfork? Salía, tan sólo, como tba, sin nombre de disco ni fecha prevista.
Por otro lado, el de Mono ya se puede comprar en preorder, así que supongo que de aquí a poco rulará también.
