Acabo de escuchar el ultimo de Pissed Jeans seguido del de Divorce, luego de acabado el ultimo he puesto unos emoticons muy chulos de esos con sonrisa y corazones al lado del de pissed jeans…..su puta madre.
Siento no poner un enlace para bajarse el disco, no lo he encontrado, pero amantes del genero pagarles a esta peña por dios.
por cierto no es ni droner ni kebap pero pontelo al 10 y ya veras como baja tu vecino marroqui a abrirte el esófago.

Opportunities for introspection have come few and far between for Canadian-born, New York City-based cellist Julia Kent. After coming to prominence as a member of the cello-driven group Rasputina in the ‘90s, she went on to arrange and play on numerous recordings and tour extensively as a member of Antony and the Johnsons, among other projects.
The opportunity to explore her own emotional and creative world came with her solo LPs, Delay (2007) and Green and Grey (2011), and it is something she appropriates fully on her captivating debut for The Leaf Label, Character.
Recorded alone in her home studio, Character develops the layering techniques Kent brought to the fore on her previous solo material, the flow of intertwining cello motifs working as an external representation of competing internal meditations. “I ended up thinking about the process of life,” explains Kent. “How sometimes a narrative in fiction is meant to mirror the chronology of human life, and how our lives, in a way, can resemble works of fiction, but without the possibility of controlling the outcome the way an author can.” Thus, she called the album Character, a reference to the notion of humans being characters in their own narrative.

Uala qué pintaca! Gracias pelukini! me lo agencio. Aun tengo en el ipod pendientes de escuchar un par de mixtapes del palo que colgaron hace ya tiempejo en Pontone. Una de Mark Fisher y otra del propio Simon Reynolds. Dejo los enlaces por si alguien quiere echarles el guante:

Por cierto, lo mejor que he leído sobre hipnagogia y alrededores está en el propio Retromanía de Reynolds. Muy pero que muy recomendable, en especial esos capítulos. También mola un huevo cuando se pone a hablar de la nostalgia lopatinera y aledaños, saquéo de anuncios de los ochenta, sampleo y trituración de todo aquello, exposición en youtubes, etc. Una pena que el libro ya esté editado y no le haya dado tiempo a abordar la explosión vaporwave, Macintosh Plus, Beer On The Rug & co. Aunque creo recordar que si abordaba algo sobre Chuck Person (lopatiner-men) y todo lo que precedería el imaginario vaporwave.. también lo hace sobre Ariel Pink, el primer James Ferraro.. na, que está mu bien el librico, aunque ciertos capítulos en los que se pone a hablar de retro-moda 70s 80s son un poco bastante soseras.

Sí, yo también le he estado dando al libro este, bastante más ameno que otros textos que he leído de Reynolds. Realmente interesante y con un punto de vista muy lúcido sobre el tema, que da bastante de sí a nivel de tertulia de sobremesa y que él organiza bastante bien. Uno de esos libros que te obligan a ir tomando notas.
No he llegado a los capítulos de hauntology, qué ganas! -
Oye pues pensando en eso que decías manel, igual si que estaría bien abrir un hilo a modo cajón de sastre en el que ir depositando material hauntológico, hipnagógico.. e incluso vaporwave, chillwave.. nose.. aunque todos estos estilos siempre han ido encuadrados dentro de la electrónica y el drone, yo creo que la cosa da ya pa post propio, no? y bruce y estat ahí al pie del cañón surtiéndonos de enlaces varios. Ideal.

Qué horror, Greg Haines bien, al piano él solo con algún que otro ruidito de fondo, media hora larga, volverá en abril rodeado de sintetizadores, lo esperaremos con ganas.
Ay Olafur, menudo despropósito, en qué momento se te ha ocurrido meterle voces a tu música, y qué pastel todo, con una especie de Antony calvo cuyos movimientos eran de verguenza ajena tocó su último disco de cabo a rabo, aún habiendo detalles de magia cuando salió el amigo a cantar se cubrieron las paredes del Barbican de miel y piruletas, yo me enrojecí y tuve que mirar al suelo, incómodo a más no poder en la silla. Menudo falsette, qué HIJO DE PUTA. En fin, que no, que este romanticismo de piano con una base electrónica pancha de fondo y la Britten Sinfonia totalmente ninguneada (la adaptación a orquesta muy pobre la verdad) no me gustaron un pelo. Y lo del calvo ya me rozó el ridículo. Terminó tocando una del Songs for a Living Room, bien, y una nana dedicada a la abuela, bien también. -

Keiji Haino, Jim O'Rourke, Oren Ambarchi are releasing a new album, titled Now While It's Still Warm Let Us Pour In All The Mystery. The record, their fourth as a trio, was recorded at their annual show at Tokyo's SuperDeluxe. It contains six pieces, one of which includes an appearance by Charlemagne Palestine and Japanese singer and improvisor Eiko Ishibashi, who plays wine glasses. Now While It's Still Warm… will be released on Oren Ambarchi's Black Truffle label in a six panel digipack and gatefold LP, with artwork designed by Stephen O'Malley.
