White Winter Hymnal, de los Fleet Foxes, aquellos con los que andtheworldsmileswithyou os ha liado mogollón
esta canción sale en el disco, Ragged Wood, y es un tema de pop-folk redondo, con la exuberancia vocal de unos Polyphonic Spree, fuerza, tensión, melodía perfecta y excelentes instrumentación y producción. No llega a los dos minutos y medio.
el disco es muy bueno, y el grupo tiene un potencial enorme, aunque eso ya lo comentaré en otra parte

El otro día, en el concierto de Michael Gira en Barcelona, una canción me estremeció por encima de las demás. Fue el primer tema de los bises. No la conocía, pero me quedé con algún verso. He dado con ella: se llama Blind y es un temazo de piel de gallina como pocos. De verdad de la buena. Pertenece a "Drainland", un disco en solitario publicado en 1995 y dice así:

La versión que hace Xiu Xiu (con Michael Gira) de Under Pressure (Bowie&Mercury) me pone casi de tan buen humor como Goma 2 del Chinarro.

Es que el último de xiu xiu es buenísimo. A mi también me encanta la versión.
Y este, a pesar de ser otro rollo, es también un temazo y mi canción favorita de Kozelek en años.

Todos los que aparecen en éste doble recopilatorio de las canciones que ha sampleado Kanye West para sus temas, y que posiblemente sea el mejor recopilatorio de soul y afines que he oido en mi vida.
Mención especial para el 2º cd, menos predecible que el 1º. Una maravilla.
