@thatcher:3msp448m:

“With Kammerspiel, Conquering Animal Sound have simultaneously managed to capture on record the full depth of their creativity and imagination, as well as the inherent beauty of their sound. It is a wonderful piece of work which deseves to be cherished, and gives us far more than we might reasonably expect from anyone’s debut album."

Parts & Labor - Constant Future
http://www.multiupload.com/OCN730U2BD
@n7orl1k3:
What’s wonderful about Parts & Labor (amongst many, many other attributes) is there ability to progress musically without losing the soul or general theme of their music. Constant Future, when put in comparison with their previous release Receivers, is a swamp of music. A layering of post-rock, space-guitar and devolved noise in to a space opera that recalls the alkaline taint of a rockets launcher rather than the pristine white walls of David Bowie’s spaceships. This roiling composition manages to still be so very Parts & Labor - the screeching guitars, Dan Friel’s atmospheric voice, the thudding drums. Nothing has changed, a few more friends have just been added to the party.

Eternal Tapestry - Beyond the 4th Door
http://www.multiupload.com/X75VH2IPI1
@n7orl1k3:
Eternal Tapestry are extremely active in the experimental underground. Nick explores minimal synth music as Tunnels, with an album to come on Troubleman Unlimited in 2011. In addition Nick plays guitar in the psychedelic/improv group Jackie-O Motherfucker. Dewey has recorded solo bliss out music as Plankton Wat since 2002, and explores the outer realms of dub as Edibles. Jed has played in the bi-coastal drone/rock band Heavy Winged since 2004 and has released many records with the band over the years, with the latest being a release on Type Records. He also joined Jackie-O Motherfucker as their drummer at the beginning of 2010, and plays in the minimalist/techno project Operative. Ryan plays as one half of the electronic/drone duo Cloaks. Jed and Dewey also collaborate with Barn Owl as the group Garden Sound, whose debut album came out this fall on the Digitalis label.

Os dejo la primera review que nos ha llegado de los de terminal boredom.
Las Nurses "Just So Pretty" 12" EP
I've reviewed a couple of Las Nurses' singles, and they do just fine for post-punk-punking, especially taking into consideration they're from Spain, not exactly a hotbed of punk action. But they're doing their best to makes things happen along with a bevvy of other bands both in the garage and hardcore scene. Three songs per side here, recorded with great fidelity, and their brand of rhythm-n-bang seems to be getting a little more aggro. At times they sound like they could be on the Touch & Go roster of the mid-Nineties (i.e. any band that was influenced by Shellac), getting a real "classic" bass-n-drum lockgroove going to which they add guitars that alternate between buzzsaw and thick twang and the singer sidles into the grooves perfectly, almost robotically. "Mike Oldfield" is the jam here. The label wants to throw a "Spanish A-Frames" comparison on them, and I'm feeling that a slight bit in the mechanical lockstepping they get into (and some guitar sounds in particular), with maybe a bit more of Intelligence flair and some New French franticity when they pick up the pace. Cold but not coldwave, they manage to keep this thing on the (post)rock playing field without any synth or zaniness to their dark and machinelike mid-tempo hammering. You wouldn't know this was Spanish if I didn't tell you (they do one song en Espanol though), and it's a rather crafty EP in construction and execution. Scum stats: 500 copies, first 100 on color.(RK)
