mark kozelek / on tour: a documentary - the soundtrack + live in copenhagen (caldo verde, 2012)

live in copenhagen | ▼ download@1i1ve51d:
This 2xCD soundtrack to Kozelek's documentary, On Tour, serves as a kind of label sampler, a retrospective of Caldo Verde's ancillary releases. Several of these 33 songs are culled from previous collections, including 2010's Admiral Fell Promises, 2009's Lost Verses Live, and 2006's Little Drummer Boy Live. Additionally, everything here– save a few noodly sketches like "Seville Piece" and "Backstage Unitarian Piece"-- has been available in some form or another before now. That includes the four bonus tracks and even "Koko", a typically atmospheric instrumental by Caldo Verde signees Desertshore. As though that wasn't enough, early orders will include a bonus disc, Live in Copenhagen.

Dinosaur Jr. – Chocomel Daze (Live 1987) (2012)
http://ul.to/fql8fdea
@xlgov1zo:
Alt-rocking indie guitar gods Dinosaur Jr digging into the archives and unearthing a 25-year-old concert for a live album Chocomel Daze (Live 1987). It was recorded Dorrnroosje in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and includes 11 songs performed by the classic Dinosaur Jr. lineup of frontman J Mascis, bassist Lou Barlow, and drummer Murph.
This live disc coincides with the 25th anniversary of the band’s album You’re Living All Over Me.
In a statement about the decades-old Dutch gig, Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis said, “We were young on our first Euro tour. It was amazing to get hotels and food. We were treated a million times better than we were used to in the States. And only driving like 45 minutes a day to the next Dutch town. Good times.”1. Severed Lips

Vienen de Brisbane, capital mundial de las bandas interesantes.Blank Realm "Go Easy" (Siltbreeze, 2012)
@1dy5919i:
Blank Realm is arguably the most diverse sounding of all the excellent bands presently calling Brisbane, Australia, home. Following a host of releases including two out-of-print LPs for the Not Not Fun label and a pair of sevens on their hometown imprint Negative Guest List, Go Easy is the one where all the chickens come home to roost. With an uncanny channeling of Missing-Links-styled garage / psychedelia, Pere-Ubu-esque rustbelt avant trippery and the experimental post-punk spasms of The Work, Blank Realm ably goes deep (when called for) as well as plays it tight and inside (ditto). For the discerning sodbuster who actually has cash burning a hole through the leather pouch found at the end of that wallet chain, this is surely one of the primo investments for 2012.

tirana / vas a morir ep (hi jauh usb?, 2012)
@1qtau9gl:

bad brains / into the future (megaforce, 2012)
@3g275dae:
Considered to be the "holy grail" of punk rock, Bad Brains are one of the definitive American punk groups who garner the same respect as Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Ramones and The Clash. It's a return to form for the band that helped define American Punk and Hardcore music.
"This album takes us back to self-produced record shines with Bad Brains' true sense of freedom and musical experimentation, with blends of soulful backgrounds meshed with blistering hardcore and metal riffs, with classic dub," says Darryl Jenifer of Bad Brains.
"Into The Future is the purest Bad Brains recordings since the ROIR cassette." – Dr. Knowhttp://www.megaforcerecords.com/store/product.php?productid=16519&cat=0&page=1&featured
kylesa / from the vaults, vol.1 (season of mist, 2012)
@3g275dae:
KYLESA have blossomed from a hot tip of the avant-garde crowd – as found at the prestigious Roadburn Festival – into a high profile act. They are courted by a steadily growing number of fans and by the media. Despite criss-crossing Europe and the United States following the release of their acclaimed bestseller “Spiral Shadow” (2010), the band led by singers and guitarists Philipp Cope and Laura Pleasants has found the time to record what they describe as “a labor of love”. Going through rare and previously unreleased tracks from former recording sessions, alternate versions of well beloved songs and even a brand new track, KYLESA remixed and rearranged those they felt to have a permeating feeling of togetherness into this outstanding collection “From the Vaults Vol. I”. Far beyond the average compilation it will make you wish for Vol. II!

bo ningen / line the wall (stolen, 2012)
@3g275dae:
Brought into the world kicking and screaming and still at it on sophomore LP ‘Line The Wall’, Bo Ningen arrived when Taigen and Kohhei’s post-rock bands played on the same bill in early 2007. It was bad news for their previous band-mates but each had found a kindred spirit, someone else who wanted to leave ‘rock’ and the dead-end cipher ‘post’ behind and commit to something much weirder.
Though they come from Gunmma, Tajimi, Nishinomiya, and Tokyo, they coalesced in London. Musically, they channel their country’s legacy of obscure, brain-warping heavy-psych: Les Ralizes Denudés, High Rise, Sweet and Honey and Flower Travellin’ Band all traceable beneath their esoteric sound. It’s evident from the place they had all found themselves in their twenties however that they were in the mood for discovery: they regurgitated their tastes in Acid Folk and Noise and hurled them into the electric cataclysm too. Though challenging to process, any cautious, sensible listeners were saved by a weighty dose of Sabbath and Nirvana.

Rites Of Spring - Six Song Demo [Dischord, 2012]
http://www.dischord.com/release/176/six-song-demo
http://www.mediafire.com/?jsnjke038odxohq
@594krxmw:
Formed by Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) on vocals/guitar, Mike Fellows bass, Brendan Canty (Fugazi) on drums, and Eddie Janney (Faith) on guitar in 1984, the quartet released a self-titled LP and a 7" single before disbanding in 1986.
They were central to what came to be known as 'Revolution Summer', a period of redefinition and creative burst from the DC scene in 1985. Before that - before they even played a show – the band recorded a six-song demo tape at Inner Ear with Don Zientara and Ian MacKaye.

the evens / the odds (dischord, 2012)
@18hs9okt:
Fugazi/Minor Threat frontman Ian MacKaye and wife Amy Farina (of the Warmers and Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, among others) released two terrific albums as the Evens in the mid-aughts before taking a break to have a kid together. But six years since their sophomore release, Get Evens, the band have a new one on the way: The Odds is out today on Dischord.

scott walker / bish bosch (4ad, 2012)
@18hs9okt:
Scott began writing new material around 2009 - whilst also scoring the ROH 2’s Duet For One Voice ballet - recording it sporadically over the following three years. The end result is Bish Bosch, a tauter but more colourful experience than The Drift, with greater emphasis on processed, abrasive guitars, digital keyboards and thick silences.
