Venía a recomendar la reediciones del Natty Locks Dub de Winston Edwards y la nueva recopilación de Los Ethiopians (Freedom Train). El primero con cantidades de humo con un aroma muy rico, reposado, a cámara lenta y con una sección de vientos que es como esparcir manteca con la sarten ya bien caliente. Lo de los Ethiopians otra cantidad de hits empaquetados con lo mejorcito de estos señores, así como las voces de los Congos te transportan las de los ex-coxsone te hacen bailar y poner cara de tonto, muy grandes siempre.

El otro día haciendo algo de digging por Youtube encontré de casualidad que un usuario tenía algunos de los dvds que suele editar Sublime Frequencies de vez en cuando y que son algo difíciles de ubicar por la red (algunos inclusive están descatalogados). Aquí va un enlace al episodio dedicado a la música Folk y Pop en Isan pero también pueden encontrar en la cuenta del mismo usuario los episodios dedicados a Marruecos y Tailandia. La calidad no es muy buena (parece la típica grabacion VHS de unas vacaciones familiares) pero eso no quita que sean bastante interesantes como documento.

Kenya Special is a collection of 32 recordings (most of which were only ever released on small-run 45rpm 7" singles) that stand out as being different or unique as well as some classic genre standards.
