Anyone ever pushed through foot pain at a festival and regretted it?
-
Not sure if anyone else has pushed it too far at festivals, but I learned this the hard way.
A couple of years back I ignored foot pain during a long weekend event. Started as a bit of soreness, then turned into sharp pain near my big toe joint. I kept going (bad idea), and it got worse over time.
After I got back, I had to actually look into treatment options and even came across stuff related to foot surgery in Perth during my research. Didn’t end up needing surgery thankfully, but it was a bit of a wake-up call.
Since then I’ve been way more careful:
- No brand new shoes at festivals
- Avoid super flat soles for long days
- Actually listening to pain instead of pushing through it
- Taking breaks instead of standing non-stop
I think a lot of us underestimate how much damage long days on hard ground can do. Curious if anyone here has had something similar or just powered through it?
