    Brian Eno and Underworld's Karl Hyde have come together for a new collaborative album called Someday World, scheduled for release on May 6 through Warp (May 5 in the UK). The record, composed and sung by both Eno and Hyde, features a whole cast of guest musicians: Eno's Roxy Music bandmate Andy Mackay, Eno's daughter Darla Eno, Will Champion of Coldplay and his wife Marianna Champion, Sinead O'Connor producer John Reynolds, Tessa Angus, Nell Catchpole, Kasia Daszykowska, Don E., Georgia Gibson, and Chris Vatalaro. Eno co-produced the record with Fred Gibson.

    A Letter Home is the thirty-fifth studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young. It was released on April 19, 2014 on Record Store Day by Third Man Records. The entire album, which consists of covers of classic songs by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and others, was recorded in a refurbished 1947 Voice-o-Graph vinyl recording booth at Jack White's Third Man store in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Most musicians are quite happy to leave the production end of things to someone else. It's enough to live your music without taking on the role of producer as well. Yet Van Etten knew it was time to make a record entirely on her terms. The saying goes "fortune favors the bold" and yet this boldness had to be tempered. For this, Van Etten found a kindred spirit in veteran music producer Stewart Lerman. Originally working together on Boardwalk Empire, they gently moved into new roles, rallying around the idea of making a record together in Lerman's studio in New Jersey. Lerman's studio expertise gave Van Etten the freedom to make Are We There the way she imagined. Van Etten also enlisted the individual talents of her band, consisting of Heather Woods Broderick, Doug Keith and Zeke Hutchins, and brought in friends Dave Hartley and Adam Granduciel from The War on Drugs, Jonathan Meiberg (Shearwater), Jana Hunter (Lower Dens), Peter Broderick, Mackenzie Scott (Torres), Stuart Bogie, Jacob C.     Here we have another wineskin full of great songs to listen to, recorded in a single proper studio - Cyberteknics in Dayton, Ohio - for the first time since their inexhaustible reformation. There's some unusually consistent and consistently awesome production on Cool Planet, thanks to the array of vintage equipment on offer at Cyberteknics.

    Cool Planet has a weighty crunch that will lay you flat, which is perhaps also in part due to the addition of ex-late-version GBV tub-thumper Kevin March on drums.

American Interior explores myth and adventure, the meaning of failure, nationhood and Rhys's own identity (he believes Evans was a distant ancestor). But its songs are not weighed down by the Evans concept, and are hugely enjoyable on their own merits.

    Jóvenes y chavalines, os traigo una filtración de las de antes, de las que google no te mostraba ningún resultado satisfactorio, de las que no se encontraban ni en alcantarillas inmundas del internel.
    Un discazo que no sé cómo ha pasado tan desapercibido, el tercer LP de Woodsman mete una marcha más de lo que nos tenía acostumbrados y se aleja un poco de los bosques psicodélicos para viajar a un ritmo mas kraut.
    Os dejo el bandcamp también si lo quereis escuchar antes y/o (también) comprar!

    We (Swans) have recently completed our new album. It is currently being mastered at the time of this writing. It is called To Be Kind. The release date is set for May 12, 2014.

    The album was produced by me, and it was recorded by the venerable John Congleton at Sonic Ranch, outside El Paso Texas, and further recordings and mixing were accomplished at John’s studio in Dallas, Texas. We commenced rehearsals as Sonic Ranch in early October 2013, began recording soon thereafter, then completed the process of mixing with John in Dallas by mid December 2013. A good portion of the material for this album was developed live during the Swans tours of 2012/13. Much of the music was otherwise conjured in the studio environment.

    Special Guests for this record include (among many others): Little Annie (Annie sang a duet with me on the song Some Things We Do, the strings for which were ecstatically arranged and played by Julia Kent); St. Vincent (Annie Clark sang numerous, multi-tracked vocals throughout the record); Cold Specks (Al contributed numerous multi-tracked vocals to the song “Bring the Sun”); Bill Rieflin (honorary Swan Bill played too many instruments to list here, ranging from additional drums, to synthesizers, to piano, to electric guitar and so on.
