Beck publicará el 2 de octubre su nuevo álbum, cuyo título es The Information. La producción de este nuevo trabajo ha corrido a cargo de Nigel Godrich quien ya ha colaborado con el músico norteamericano en sus álbumes Mutations y Sea Change. El álbum estará acompañado por un DVD con videos para cada uno de los quince temas que incluirá The Information:

A ver si se desquita del aburrido Guero, hace tiempo que Beck me resulta sólo interesante cuando falla comercialmente, Mutations, Sea Changes,…si cogemos la serie de uno bueno uno malo, ahora le toca el bueno, pero visto la promoción de lanzamiento que parece va a tener, me temo lo peor de nuevo,...

NUEVO DISCO DE JOSEPH ARTHUR A LA VISTA: NUCLEAR DAYDREAM
Joseph Arthur Founds New Label – Lonely Astronaut Records
September 19th Release Date For His 5th Studio Album – Nuclear DaydreamHe returns with his strongest, most passionate album to date with the forthcoming release of Nuclear Daydream on September 19th. The album contains twelve brand new songs including the first single “Enough To Get Away.” It’s Arthur’s first release since 2004’s Our Shadows Will Remain which was named one of the top albums of 2004 by: Entertainment Weekly, New York Post, Boston Globe, Chicago Sun-Times and countless others.
However, this time around Arthur has taken his career matters into his own hands by founding his own new label – Lonely Astronaut Records, which will be distributed by RED/Sony.
“Starting a label is crazy, everyone tries to talk you out of it,” Arthur commented. “Our plan is to put great records out often. There is a new sense of freedom blossoming out of this venture.”
Besides scheduling the release of Nuclear Daydream, Arthur is currently putting the finishing touches on yet another new album, which he looks to release in 2007.
Joseph Arthur will begin a full U.S./Canadian tour in support of Nuclear Daydream on September 25th in Philadelphia. The tour is expected to hit over 28 cities and run till mid-November.

WAIT.
This would be a perfect word choice for how we have felt as a group. The EP we have put together is somewhat of a spontaneous decision. However, you'll find some of the recordings were done some time ago, a different agenda and different set of rules surrounding the spree over the last two years. Originally, we hoped to put out a "covers" CD, inspired by the fact the group has dabbled with covering songs and paying tribute to other artists since inception, typically found in our live settings. So the idea of putting out either an album or EP of some sort was always a desire of ours.
Eventually the idea came to fruition in January 2005. Jon Brion (producer) came to Dallas and we spent an evening banging on instruments, ideas, and whatnots. Later that night we stumbled upon some musical ground that would soon lead to “Love My Way” (Psychedelic Furs), “Lithium” (Nirvana), and “Love Grows” (Edison Lighthouse); the latter remains unfinished due to time constraints on the sessions. Nonetheless, the quick trip to Los Angeles proved to be a spirited event. Soon thereafter we entered a studio in Dallas to work up “Sonic Bloom” (Tripping Daisy), a very fitting cover for the Spree.
Good Records Recordings and Hollywood Records along with Itunes finally present the EP called WAIT. It contains the aforementioned covers and two new songs, “Mental Cabaret” and “I'm Calling” written by Tim DeLaughter and performed by The Polyphonic Spree this last year. These two original tracks will more than likely appear on our next full-length album, The Fragile Army, due out early 2007.
